Would you ask the same question about Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders?

She is not my top candidate but why do you feel the need to ask this question?

what do African Americans have to do with her especially?

    What does this even mean?

Is the reason for this because Bernie does not have great support among minorities?

In my case its due to a conversation outside these forums -

The person I'm speaking with thinks Harris is Trumps easiest opponent (I don't know about that) - his reasoning being that Harris wont get a majority of the AA vote (I really doubt he's right here) citing Harris time as a prosecutor Vs Trumps (cough) prison reform as a major reason.

I don't think it matters much , the D candidate , whoever it ends up being will get the lions share , 90-95% of the AA vote as usual.

Well my question is whether most African Americans will vote for Kamala due to her skin color as is widely assumed in the press. I AM TALKING ABOUT THE PRIMARY.

I don't have my calculator with me, but Obama is looking pretty culpable to me, from those stats.

And didn't the debt double under his administration?

Your stats are showing the deficits, but not the overall debt (over time).

Right, but the comments were about deficit spending. Of course that adds to the debt but the interest from other presidents keeps adding to the debt as well. Debt is a reflection of fiscal policies of many presidents and congresses. Deficit spending can be narrowed down to just the one.

So did my answer satisfy you?

And I have not seen it reported as such.

i agree she will get at least as much as Hillary and Trump will get zero credit for prison reform.

have not seen any real traction about her time as prosecuted but it's still early.

Her record as a prosecutor is nasty , she was locking people up left and right on drug charges - mostly minorities which was typical for the time.

But I don't think it matters.

My opinion in this context really doesn't matter , I'm just one indian , I cant speak for blacks which is why I asked the general consensus ... it just happened to piggyback off of someone else's post.

    It does matter.

That's the reason people should not support her, the actual record of her doing things as an elected official.

Not this bullshit about smoking pot listening to Tupac or making a joke about being Jamaican or Cherokee or putting ketchup on a hotdog or whatever.

So, Buck which candidate will be ironically detached and hip enough for you?

Being that I am neither "ironically detached" (whatever that means, or ironically anything, thanks Alanis) or "hip", you'll have to give me a few months to answer that.

    You just keep doing you.
