They all blew that call. There were two refs staring right at Durant when he was out of bounds.

As for the Hornets game, the Rockets have to go 3-2 minimum over the next 5 if they have any hopes of catching OKC and Portland. So either win at Charlotte or Boston. I'm thinking the former is a much easier task.

 

These last two wins were great and all, but not nearly boring enough for my tastes. That changes tonight. Go Rockets!

If I were the Rocket's players I would have one of two perspectives: coast or roast. Either they are going to "lay low" for the playoffs (not recommended), or heat up and start dispatching lesser teams with vigor (highly recommended). I don't like the idea of "saving energy for the playoffs." Playing hard is a habit, so is coasting. Recommendation: light these suckers up early and make early dinner plans.

We will beat Michael Jordan again. Harden gets 70, Jordan's personal best is 69. Someone will be crying again.

 

The Rox need to fully use the team ball method in a game like this and let their game plan be refined they should win easily

After the home loss to the AD-less Pelicans....there are NO EASY games. NONE.

Rockets have BOS, TOR, PHI coming up. They need to take care of business in this CHA/MIA back to back.

No more low energy poor rebounding games.

This game is going to be important for seeing how the Rockets are going to approach games going forward offensively.

The team is more or less healthy again. You have Faried starting at the 4 now. Paul is giving you excellent distributive point guard play. Harden's streak is over, and the need for hero ball is over. Things have turned in a direction haven't really gotten momentum yet.

My question is now how do you most effectively use Paul and Harden, because their playstyles have diverged over this time. Paul is getting everyone else involved, which is looking pretty good, but it also depends on those guys finishing. The ball and the players get sticky when Harden is running things. However, Harden is the machete you go to when you just absolutely need to chop through everything in your path.

Figuring out the balance between what those two do best is going to determine where we go this season, and this is really the fresh start game with no baggage to start to see how that's going to play out.
