Michael Cohen to testify publicly on Capitol Hill - 2/27

Eh, I don't have specific knowledge. You say, without evidence, that he got his money legally. I say, without evidence, that he probably has broken laws here or there to help him get his money illegally. I say it based on my assessment of his character and from what I've seen of all the shady characters he associates with. How you are so confident that he is just a legitimate businessman, I'll never understand.

I'm letting it all sink in, and getting a good soak. I even went back to read old articles about how he pleaded guilty to lying to Congress. They remind me that Cohen told Congress that the work on the Trump Tower Moscow negotiations were over by January 2016, but that that was a lie and Trump continued to work on it through June. He corroborated Trump's version of events he told the public when Trump himself went and lied to our faces about it.

Trump now says I shouldn't believe him because he's a proven liar for telling the same lie Trump told. Trump told us he didn't have any dealings with Russians, and downplayed the Moscow project as not serious. We now know he personally signed a letter of intent and was highly involved in those negotiations through June when it was pretty clear he'd be the nominee (and building the project would be a little too obvious). He said no one in his campaign had anything to do with Russia, and we now know of over 100 contacts. While we were trying to uncover whether Russia was able to influence our 2016 campaign, he was doing everything he could to mislead the American public, Congress, and law enforcement on the matter. And, you say it's Michael Cohen that has a credibility problem?

Lol yeah dude, lawyers sometimes protect people they know are guilty. Pretty sure everyone knows this.

 

This is true of all of these 'hearings'. If they were truly about uncovering the truth, they'd be closed. Open...and they are almost exclusively political grandstanding.

And I say that wishing government were more transparent. I like transperancy...I hate political grandstanding.
