I dont think you underestimate the pride both countries have in the region. India/Pakistan will destroy one another over Kashmir. Its a dick measuring contest. You have to also understand the context of Modi political party in India. They are a FAR FAR RIGHT (much further then trump) and the opposing party is already mocking Modi for his lackluster reaction. Modi has the entire media and nation behind him and if theres not some serious diplomatic pressure this will turn out BAD.
Prime Minister of Pakistan said on tv that he wants to talk and does not want this to go any further and they will turn over the pilot. He called for a meeting between him and Modi to hash out the issues they have. Obviously we know India isn't going to meet the Pakistanis but at this point what more does India want to prove? They've already bombed further into Pakistan than any other Indian party has in 50+ years. The ball is in India's court. Hopefully everyone smokes some Afghan kush and chills the **** out. Nobody has anything more to prove at this point. The Pakistani media is treating Imran khan as if he just cured cancer and Indian opposition party has already backed off and are diverting all attention back to Modi. This is where mike Pompeo or Antonio Guterras needs to step in and tell everyone to chill the **** out. The next 48 hours will dictate what the future holds for both countries and its crazy watching it unfold.
Give the new administration time. Hes put cell phone coverage in rural Pakistan, has build more hospitals/clinics/schools instead of mosques in rural Pakistan then any other administration. I dont even fully believe what India claimed happened for the suicide attack. There should be a transparent investigation done by the UN before any judgement.

I hadn't even paid attention to this story, and now all of a sudden it looks like we are at the brink of a WW3? WTF. I'm not sure if any other two countries in the world, hate each other as much as those two.

And you really are the ultimate apologist for a **** hole of country that Pakistan is. It's pretty simple, get rid of the terrorist camps in your own country. Leave India the f alone. If India is mishandling the situation in Kashmir or mistreating its own people (allegedly), then its an internal problem. Its not a problem for Pakistan; which has enough of its own problems anyways.
They've fought 3 wars over Kashmir since 1947 genius. And now both have nuclear power. In no way is anyone calling for an escalation in this situation. But Pakistan has to pay a price for constantly allowing terrorists to launch attacks from its **** hole.
