Sources: Butler will be Moreys main target this summer, and he feels fairly confident it will happen

I appreciate and respect @cyberx, but this is not happening unless Butler forces the 76ers’ hand. They are fully prepared to offer both Butler and Harris the max.

We offered 4 first round picks for him. Every reputable guy around the league has confirmed it. It happened. I'm pretty sure we were planning on re-signing him this summer.

LOL @ going after Butler, as if he would do anything for this team. We need to go after a big, another guard won't help a damn thing. The guy's toxic wherever he goes, why the **** would he be our first target?! Seems stupid in my opinion.

Butler is not a fully healthy player. the overpaid amount is too big, so is luxury tax.

4 players in the contract @ 140 million

    10 more players are needed.

Appreciate Cyber with the info. I just don't see how any 3rd star would want to come and play in this kind of ISO heavy scheme.

Sploosh! We've heard all of this before. Wasn't he a main target about this same time last year?

Morey’s big name targets have been off.
    Dwight
    Bosh
    DWil
    Melo
    Hayward
    Etc...

I feel like Butler belongs in the same category and would be regrets.

If Butler opts in with a wink (like CP3 did), then in theory we could trade Gordon, Nene, and a 1st round pick for him. The Sixers would do well to get Gordon and the pick for Butler if he has the option to leave for LA or the Nets. This all seems very doable to me. Am I missing something?

The best idea is to keep Gordon and Tucker and sign Butler as a free agent whatever Morey can offer (max).

LOL ..sorry insider guys y'all have been batting .000 lately. This thread title made my day not for the possibilities, but because of "2 yard line" .. "after all star break" .. "once bought out"

Hey y'all keep listening and sharing. Everyone likes to fantasize about winning the lotto and what they would buy.

Plus I don't even think Butler moves the needle as much as he thinks he moves the needle.
