    I mean doesn't this go along with what hes saying with the inconsistency. if teams didn't have to adjust that would mean actual consistency. so you're not actually disagreeing.

    I mean in game inconsistency. I mean, if Foster says that Harden's 3 is a swing through I'm ok with it. Or if he always calls the block and not a charge I'm ok with that too, even if it bucks the trend of what literally all the other refs do I'm fine with that too. As long as when he refs a particular game on one end the exact same as the other it's ok. So I guess the inconsistency I'm arguing isn't ref to ref which is what your post implied, more within an individual ref who can't make up his or her own mind. But I do understand what you're saying here, and as a fan of the sport at large this is something the NBA needs to fix.

    that's pretty much my view on it as far as the inconsistency. if we had that continuity in calls, it would make a huge difference in the need for adjustments on a nightly basis
