He's done it for the last 2 years, and he's only 26

He added 10 HR, 22 RBI and 17 SB last year from 2017

He is very good without a doubt, I’d just take Altuve, Bregman and Correa over him moving forward

Correa has to prove he can stay healthy. The others are all a tossup, agreed.

Only because you're an Astros fan. He's repeated 2 full elite seasons and is heading into what should be his prime years. His OPS last season was down a little from 2017.

Bregman only has one, Correa has had none, and Altuve is coming off a down season due to injuries. All 3 could be better than him this season because they are elite talents, but from any objective viewpoint Ramirez should be ahead of them right now.

Despite Correa playing in only 109 game series in 2017, I’d still say he was elite that season.

I'd move Judge and Machado down the list, Altuve #13 & Alejandro at #10.

Even with Altuve at #15, they're still saying he's the best 2nd baseman on the list. With a broken knee cap , he had a majestic homer in the Boston series... that was overturned

That's 5 everyday lineup players, who has more?
    Hope we're healthy come September.

I am not sure who I hate more... Joe West or Scott Foster... sounds like a good thread idea...

    Fred Brocklander faints

Not only that, he blew a strike 3 call in the 9th of the epic game 6 that subsequently enabled Ray Knight to tie the game

He did, for a little over half the season.

He got off to a poor start (at which point some people were comically overreacting) then he was amazing, then he was hurt and came back a little slow, then amazing again through the postseason. He was pretty damn good around midseason last year also.

Nobody needs to be convinced of Correa's abilities on the field, but the most important ability is availability. If Correa only plays 109 games, he isn't an elite player, I don't care how great his WAR is.

Astros might have won the World Series that year if Correa prioritized playing 162 regular season games instead of having his abilities on the field only for 109 regular season games and 18 postseason games.
