Before she married Crane, she was a very successful commercial litigator with a great boutique (now maybe difficult to call it boutique, but it is a great commercial litigation firm only). The firm (or at least some of its primary partners) are known for being very progressive. This one just seems odd. It's not like they were camped out in her yard or anything (and even if they were the sidewalk is fair game.).
I would too. But if they're taking pictures even for a whole day, I wouldn't go out of my way to ruin their memory. If they clean up and leave things just as good or better, I'm totally fine with a "really?" glare.
river oaks gonna river oaks. i dont know yall...if i was riding my bike down the path and saw this scene i would think "aww, what a cute kid" and just go around. not a big deal at all and definitely not something i would be annoyed by or take offense to.
Jim Crane's life has definitely taken a turn for the better since 2015. Won the World Series and dumped this stupid idiot. That reminds me of an old divorce joke: Why are Divorces so expensive? Because they're worth it.
Not River Oaks. Museum District, kinda near the CAM and Rice U. fwiw: That's not a park. It's North Blvd between Mandell and Parkway. I know that area quite well (once lived just on the other side of the tennis court), and recognized it right away. There aren't very many people who actually walk on that median. People are just as apt to walk in the street as that median, as there are very few cars. It's a North and South Blvd loop around one block of mansions. It's a nice shaded median, but it isn't a Park. Here it is: https://www.google.com/maps/@29.728...4!1sjhUdwWQQIrjKCnKFhsgNPA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
Perhaps not a park but still a public area that has a built-in walkway for public use, making it a bit of a recreational purposed spot by nature wouldn't you say? Similar to the height's blvd median, but of course just in a smaller, upscale residential setting.
btw: I'm not trying to make any point, other than pointing out where it is, in case others are interested. It's not like the Height's blvd median -- no park benches, for instance. Drive there and check it out, and tell me how many ppl you see walking on that median. If it's like it used to be, you won't see too many. I loved that loop, and would walk to class so that I went through there....(I knew all the best shaded routes, haha). I recall more ppl walking in the street as in the media, for what that's worth. Nanny's with strollers and brisk exercise walkers preferred the street.
The woman was wrong to act at all in this case by our social standards and legal in regard to her hitting the person's phone, but to say it is racist is a leap of logic pending further evidence. I am still waiting on some people to condemn the violence she displayed toward that phone. Their silence is telling.
It has been wet since September. A lot of places if you step off the sidewalk you are stepping in mud. I don't know what the conditions are like in this park and I still think she is a dumbass.
Well riding a bike on the sidewalk is illegal, so hopefully a concerned citizen would have done the right thing and given you a severe beatdown.
