I'll admit I thought he was washed. He's looked nothing last year's version of himself for much of this season. But tonight was like a flashback to last year's playoffs. His shot was on and decision making was on point. If this is the CP3 we're going to see in the playoffs I take back everything I've said.
his midrange shot was still off, he made more than he's been making this season, but not like last season when it was automatic. maybe he still needs more games to get timing back
I think Rivers needs to play well, so Chris isn't running out of gas in the playoffs. He played great ball though. It was awesome to see that.
rivers cannot shoot that guy is in a huge slump. but his man defense is great and he can get to the cup against most teams. all these bench guys like rivers/green/shumpert need to be used game specific depending on matchups instead of how pringles just keeps his rigid set rotations no matter what. and green btw, good lord his D is TERRIBLE. i mean on an important possession you can rely on harden to make the right decision and be effective despite his reputation for being a poor defender. but with green he just simply has no concept of how to play D
An awesome post regarding Rivers. If he can shoot well along with additional passing, we will have another consistent weapon in the backcourt. I like his defense and driving. Seeing Gerald on Draymond was just awful.
It seemed like because the beard was out and guys were in foul trouble he had to make some decisions that were good that normally like you said he doesn't make. I wish he could manage the game matchup better
yes and within the lineups on the floor he needs to coach better, ie. explaining that green should not be bringing the ball upcourt when rivers can do that much better (green got ripped late in the game). we've seen this all season long in the final minute when the wrong guys are inbounding or the wrong guys are receiving the ball for automatic fouls when they aren't even decent FT shooters. ego inbounding to tucker lol!
Chris Paul isn’t done yet. I’ve never understood why this site was so quick to turn on him. He’s older, and had had a few injuries this year, but I never got the “washed” talk. Even after last nights improbable win, CP will get very little love from his hometown fans. I sensed anger from a lot fans last night who had written CP off. Actual Rockets fans mad that we won last night. Thanks for being big enough to admit that you may have jumped the gun a bit with this “washed” narrative. False narratives are starting to infest this site.
too bad it didnt mesh well with hardens game harden seems to play a lot better without cp3 this year...like a lot
Harden will chafe a bit, when he has to give up the ball, but he will adjust when he realizes he doesn't need to do everything every night. James wants to win a championship. Chris has been struggling too. I'm delighted that he played brilliantly without Harden. This win will raise the dwindling morale of the team. Just don't take Atlanta lightly.
I do think that Harden forgot how to play with CP3 as main ball handler. I think a game to watch like last night will help him remember and I can see us going on a tear the next couple weeks.
He didn't forget. He just wants to do it and the coach lets him do as he pleases, even if he is so tired out there from playing so many minutes he has to stand and dribble to catch his breath. There will be no excuses for it though with CP3 and Clint back, so hopefully the take twice as many shots as the team and ISO away habits will turn into more assists and steals and less turnovers and dribble dribble dribble tick tock tick tock watch me get 30 points and I dare you to stop me routine. I'm sure at some point everyone else just gets tired of waiting for the ball. Coach can make the adjustments, and he is to blame if
Honestly that's Harden's problem and he needs to figure it out quickly. Last night proved that there's no chemistry issue between Chris and the other guys.
Not picking on you. But I was hearing this alot on here. Why didnt u see he was hurt for what like 2 months. Why didnt u think it would take about 5 6 games to get back in shape Why didnt you think that with all the turnover in the line up it would take guys time to gel.
Arguably, we lost that series to the Warriors because our guys who could defend couldn't shoot. And I don't begrudge D'Antoni playing those guys and relying on those guys. They strangled the Warriors better than any other team did. But then you just have to pray they don't go 0-27.
Can I push back. Look what he said. This year. So u saying all of a sudden cp3 n harden cant play together when they already played together. I'm just curious why people think this
