I don’t really see what is so damning here reg Schiff. He is a serious guy investigating something very serious. He said this call is likely being recorded, and said this would be turned over to the FBI.

Had this been an American talk show they might be in some real legal trouble. Unless I’m missing something here, it seems like Schiff did the appropriate thing.

The Russians once again working to help Trump and obstruct investigations ... shocking.

They would be working to provide information to help get Trump elected. He would be working to use the information to help get Trump elected.

There may have also been agreement toward potential policy positions.

 

What kind of work is he specifically doing by agreeing to a meeting where nothing was exchanged

If "getting information from Russians to help get elected" is some form of crime....well then

Obviously it's not, and it's stupid to suggest so, just confirmation bias dialled up to 11.

Steele isn't Russian. He has worked for our government and is from a nation that is one of our most trusted allies. Nobody from Russia with connections to the Russian government offered to help Clinton get elected, and Clinton never asked the Russians for help not did she indicate that she was open to such an offer.

Simply "getting information from Russians" isn't the issue.

 

And the Russians knew he was a spy. So it wasn't like they would feed him blatantly false information. Because, you know -- Russians are so trustworthy.
