I dreamed about the Astros last night....White on 1B, Reddick nailed a liner into RCF and White forgot how to run. He just threw up his arms at 2B and started walking to the pitcher's mound while everyone is screaming at him..... Still woke up with wood, because baseball is that ****ing good.
Albeit a short sample size, Pressly was elite as an Astros reliever last season. Was Ryan Pressly’s 2018 a Fluke?
Well, looks like that source was correct. I just asked for more clarity and he said he couldn’t reveal the prospect he talked to but he just did. It was Tatis who told him and they both share the same agent so it makes sense.
Via Chandler Rome Justin Verlander and Gerrit Gole are throwing a live batting practice session today. So is Forrest Whitley. Whitley is scheduled to face George Springer, Josh Reddick, Michael Brantley and Jake Marisnick Alex Bregman is scheduled to face live pitching today. He’ll hit against Kent Emmanuel and Brandon Bielak in live batting practice.
I was excited when Appel got to pitch in the last ST game of 2014 at MMP.... I believe they played Mexico. He looked great. That was probably the highlight of his entire pro baseball career.
Forrest Whitley threw live BP today for a group of hitters including Kemp, Marisnick, Springer and Brantley. By Rome's account he looked pretty good. The video of him getting Springer all sorts of off-balance is encouraging. The video of him blowing a fastball by Jake up and away is not surprising at all (given Jake's struggles to hit high fastballs in the past).
oing to be here soon. Man I'm loving this, Thanks for posting this. Baseball is back, spring is in the air. Awesome
Soooo Freaking ready for some Astros you don't understand. Done watching this basketball "team" called the Rockets and their selfish and completely boring 3 and "D" ball, ready for Houston's real team to play some ball.
Starting off with the mainstays, nice! /sarcasm What's crazy is that even with this meaningless 1st game, I'm actually very interested to follow all 3 of those OFers. I'm also very interested in seeing how Diaz looks. I know the consensus here is that Diaz will be better than Marwin, but I'm not so sure about that. He obviously will be cheaper, but if Marwin's price tag continues to drop, I'd have no qualms about bringing him back and optioning/trading Diaz.
