the 30 point streak needs to end, and a 40 point streak needs to begin since Dec 13th, the Rockets are 14-4 when Harden scores at least 40...they are 7-7 when he scores somewhere in the 30’s they were 14-2 when he dropped at least 40 until that OKC choke and that Wolves loss It’s ridiculous how much this team depends on Harden going Wilt-mode in order to win. The man is leading the league in minutes while having the 2nd highest usage rate of all time behind only 16-17 Westbrook. Harden’s usage rate is an astronomical 40.3%. The next closest is 05-06 Kobe at 38.7%. The Rockets are currently only a half game ahead of the 7th seed. Everyone else on the team is either extremely limited or not capable of producing on a consistent basis. The pressure he must be feeling to be a god every night is ridiculous. No one else in the NBA has this burden.
Thank you for starting some interesting threads to spark actual discussion instead of crazy “sky is falling” crap. The streak I’m hoping for, though, is a Rockets win streak to take them to the top of the conference. That’ll be on the role-players to hit their shots, play good D, and lessen the burden on our MVP’s shoulders. CP3 and Capela looked encouraging today. Gerald Green and PJ did not. I just want to see a stretch where everyone is at least at their career averages at the same time..is that too much to ask?
I agree that a new streak needs to begin... A streak of Danuel House Jr. being on the Houston Rockets roster.
How about a streak of us holding the other team to under 100 points? I remember when that was pretty much a guaranteed win for us. We're 9-2 when we do that this year.
It's really odd that Harden is struggling more now (with CP3 and Capela back) than when he had less help. I don't know if it was a post-AS slump or what, but he didn't really seem like himself, last night. With the amount of attention that a healthy CP3 and Capela gets, Harden should get easy points. Yet, the Lakers really full-court pressured Harden all night, daring Chris Paul to bring up the ball. That's Chris Paul - point God. Teams would rather a HoF PG bring up the ball, than Harden. So crazy.
