From my perspective, the worst allegation is that the prosecution took emails and edited them to change the context, including removing emoticons, replacing with brackets, etc.

The article states that the judge upon reviewing the originals was very upset with the prosecution and said that it took "5 minutes" to realize they were jokes.

The prosecution then asked and received a gag order ostensibly to hide this while still excoriating her in the press.

Again -- from the article -- there never was any evidence of this whole using "sex to entrap influential politicians." Instead, the prosecution relied upon a 3 year old email with a friend (actually a male spouse of one of her friends) who helped her with insurance. He said something like "how are you going to repay me for all the time it took" and she responded with something like "sex, I don't have a cent to my name." The two continued to joke about it with the man stating that he wasn't interested.

Another point that the article made, if true, was that she appeared to have the perfect target interested in her and rejected him without disclosing him to her alleged handler or anyone else.

So, well written. Don't know the facts.

I read the affidavit submitted by the agent and it sent me scrambling to the statute requiring registration for foreign agents.

I at least don't have enough information to figure out what happened and who is right, but the article did place some doubt in my mind.

Trump and the GOP got caught not caring about where the money came from.

The NRA is about getting votes.

Because of the continued appearance of impropriety and criminal behavior.

How about the part when a candidate for POTUS publicly called for Russia to hack and steal from another American?

How about a Australian diplomat going to the FBI because a Trump advisor bragged to him about hacked emails and Russia influencing the election?

How about the fact that Trump hired as his campaign chair someone who was already under investigation for his ties to Russia backed Ukrainians?

Not investigating Trump would be a deriliction of their duties. Its a big reason why we have intelligence officials in the first place. Not to do partisan investigations but to ensure someone like Trump (or Obama if you were worried about him) cannot take over the country without knowing whether or not they are acting on behalf of a foreign entity.

Maybe Trump isn’t and it’s all a gigantic cloud of random circumstantial evidence, but I’m happy we have a body that is supposed to be able to check these things out.

And you damn well know you wanted Obama checked out. And you can’t tell me George Bush and Dick Cheney’s FBI wouldn’t have sounded the alarm if there was any basis to the Obama conspiracies.

It is titled Stone's Notice of Apology, but then it goes on to say his lawyers are apologizing (with his authorization) which is a tad different.

Seems like apologizing shouldn't make a difference...
