    Morris could be a breaking point between 3rd seed and 4th seed.

    By adding Morris Rockets meet GS in Conference Finals, Thunder 4th seed.
    By adding Morris Thunder meet GS in Conference Finals, Rockets 4th seed.

    Explain...

    It's prorated by the number of games not the number of days. So whether they signed someone yesterday or on the 21st, it doesn't matter money-wise

    Not sure the money is THAT close lol

    In any case, CBA says teams can have as few as 11 for up to 2 weeks. Assuming the trades went through before 2pm on the 7th (they went through before that), we essentially have until "2pm" on the 21st to have a 14 man roster.

    That's the literal interpretation at least.

    Some might point to Bzdelik's imminent return as a / the reason for dismissing Melo. Even if true, was it for Melo's getting him fired in Denver and/or because Melo wouldn't fit in with the switching defense? Or any defense at all?

    Which is sad. I won't say we should have kept Carmelo, but Bzdelik didn't impart a sudden desire for the team to play solid D. In fact, the Rockets only seems to turn it up a notch when the opponent is a solid team. Otherwise, you'd think Dan Tony was also coaching defense:

    "Coach, what do we do? Man-to-man? Switch?"
    "Shoot more threes."
    "I mean, on defense."
    (Vinnie Barbarino voice) "I'm so con-fused!"

    I bet we sign Jimmer late in the season after his CBA season is over. 1) Saves the Rockets the most money by waiting that long. 2) Gives us a little insurance if Paul goes down. 3) He can actually make a three (unlike Rivers at the moment).

    $1,512,601/82 = $18,446 per game
    Doesn't match $8,546



    Regular season tip off on October 16, 2018 and end on April 10, 2019.
    Total 177 days
    $1,512,601/177 = $8,545.77 ~ $8,546 per day
