Being a clown as you say though is sometimes what has to happen to get stupid Americans to actually talk about real and not real issues. AOC is using her newly found bull horn given to her by Trumpers who are obsessed, and actually single handily has made a piece of legislation (albeit just a resolution) a kitchen table discussion. That’s not a small feet given how tied up Americans are generally in ignorance. Trump has used his bullhorn since 2015 to bring immigration to the kitchen table, but unlike climate change discussion... which is scientifically proven.... Trump is just spreading lies and hate about brown people. It hasn’t likely been a very productive use of clownish behavior to our country. Will AOC’s use of her clownish bullhorn actually end up doing some good? I like what I’ve seen thus far. Talking about marginal taxes for the 1% is a good thing. Finally talking about Climate change solutions is a good thing. Maybe a little clownish behavior is a good thing for the Dems to start doing more of. As long as it’s about real issues we need to talk about.
What makes her a clown? Trump is a clown for various reasons that are in plain view. AOC is an extremely intelligent woman who has had academic success throughout her life - impressive success, accomplished significant things and ran a grassroots campaign to defeat the seemingly undefeatable. It appears everything she is doing is calculated and her life appears to reflect a person who knows what they are doing. While she says many controversial things, I wouldn't put it past her that this is a device she uses to draw attention to herself ala Trump, in that sense, you could argue she is a clown - like the class clown. But when clown is used to refer to Trump, it is more derogatory. AOC is highly calculated and intelligent, she knows which of her statements are true or just b.s. She's definitely not stupid.
