Neck ok'd by doctor is a big step. Waiting on LT savings is a step. Also signing is a big step and then several smaller steps on being integrated with the team.

Markieff Morris is approximately 132 ft. from being a Rocket.

This is true. Hopefully he knows this may be his last chance for a big contract if he can prove healthy and fit in a role at the 4/5. Earn that money while you can. Would like it if the Rockets were able to retain some of these guys in the offseason too but not sure that is feasible.

Marcus played a lot, considering the logjam.
No one at Clutchfans wanted us to play him, like, non. Non of us believed in tweener PFs. Here was the order of preference in Morris' 2nd yr.

    2nd Year
    • DMo
    • Terrence Jones
    • Patterson
    • Morris
Morris and PPatt were traded at trade deadline to make room for DMo and TJones. And keep in mind, his first year Scola was the starter still, and fans still wanted Jordan Hill to play.

It is a touch more complicated than that. Players have to pay taxes in every state they play in.

This has been a slower step.

Even then, he pays significantly less taxes in the home games, enough to still make a 30-50k difference

That is off of the league minimum salary for ~25 games, right?

Then he’ll get paid for playoff game. And bonuses for winning championship.

No disrespect, but this sounds like the same home team rationalization that led to people declaring that if LeBron went anywhere but Houston it would be 'career suicide...' lol

I agree its all about trying to rebuild his value for is next contract... and that worked out great for Melo when he joined us... smh...

Plus you mention "the only playoff team that can promise him pt" ...well thats assuming MDA develops a 'trust' for him and feels 'comfortable' playing him and he can produce straight out the gate... and doesnt get done like Trez or various other guys MDA banished to the bench for whatever reasons...

I hope we get him. I think he can be very beneficial for us.... but I wouldn't declare him "stupid to sign anywhere else" ...imo...

Burt never gets anything right. He just gets our hopes up, then he disappears on his yacht until it's time to get our hopes up again.

Morris wasn't put in situations to succeed and MCdumbass was complaining about his defense. Ironically you don't hear that about Marcus now but Mchale acted like Morris was the worst defender he'd seen. But honestly they should have taken Kawhi in the first place.

Not sure why anyone who has been around here more than a few years would take ANYTHING this guy tweets with any level of seriousness. He's full of crap.
