Your claim was that city officials were lying in his favor because he was their boss. It isn't personal and I don't take joy that you got the facts wrong. I was only curious if now that you know the facts, you still believe the fire department and law officers are lying to help Beto.
I didn't claim it. I said it could happen, just to rib people like you who think the size of his rally actually makes a difference.
You have been shown wrong about O'Rourke being Mayor and being Congressman... you now have the opportunity to be wrong on your claim he somehow pretended to be a minority. So proceed, we need a laugh.
He was a Rep and that's what I meant. Cool your jets. You act like it changes anything. People make mistakes sometimes. I am not claiming to be the arbiter of all truth. You can find that for yourself and certainly do question everything you read. Also you clearly know the issue with his name, so I think enough has been said on it. You either agree that he is using it to get easy votes with a Hispanic demographic if you don't like the guy, or it's a genuine use if you support him.
His name... Robert O'Rourke. That shows he is pretending to be a minority? Which minority... an Irish American in El Paso? Or are you referring to a nickname he has gone by since kindergarten? I am sure he was pretending to be a minority in the picture below. Probably thought it would get him more votes for class line leader and maybe even a date with the little blonde girl. Yea, enough has been said on it. trump supporters can't help spinning out falsehoods, no matter how many times its proven to be a lie, they keep spinning out the same lies over and over again.
You are giving the same spin I've seen a million times. The guy uses a convenient nickname when he's an adult to get hispanic votes. He wouldn't dare run on his actual name. Plainly obvious tactic to anyone who isn't drinking their cool aid. You can pretend he doesn't do this, but that's your choice. Honestly, it is the smart move to make so I can't hate him completely for doing it. It would be tempting. I wouldn't use my nickname that sounds like a different ethnicity from me because it would be misleading to some voters, or a nickname at all for professional reasons, but hey he does. How interesting. I guess he just loves going by it.
so you really meant Rep. and you seriously think local cops and firemen are under the jurisdiction of US Congress? then you're actually even dumber than everyone thought. no wonder you're a 30%er hell bent on a 200 mile 5.7B vanity wall because there is a "national emeergency" can you post a link to a mainstream site about the issue on his name? so his parents can see the future?
I don't think cops and firemen are under those, no. I made a mistake and it just kind of snowballed in my own mind when I was posting. I've already admitted that it was wrong, so OK since you don't like me crucify me too. I can take it. Also I don't owe you anything of the sort regarding his name. Why do you need main stream news sites to do your thinking for you?
I'm not a Trump supporter, I believe in logic and reason... until that undermines my support for Trump, then I throw the whole thing out and support him.
if you paid more attention to "mainstream news sites" then perhaps you wouldnt be thinking that beto is the mayor of el paso!
I read them all the time? Not sure if you've ever mixed up someone's title but it's quite easy to do. Anyway, again, enjoy your day man.
I mean you admitted you mistakenly thought he has mayor but you were pretty sure cops and firemen are under US congress so where do you get those issues about his name? just curious.. if you gonna post about something better back it up with sources or are you embarrassed of your source?
I already explained the answer to your first issue and if that's not enough, nothing will be. And as for the sources. Sources for what? An opinion? I don't need to source my own opinion that the guy is a snake.
Your illogical rambles... attacking someone who goes by a nickname he has had since kindergarten as some dishonest trickery to fool Texas voters that someone with the name O'Rourke is something other than a white guy of Irish American background, then concluding he "just loves going by it." I go by a shortened version of my name. Not because I am trying to fool people, but because I have gone by my "nickname" since I was a little kid and its the name I go by (and use it on my business card since its fewer letters and much easier to pronounce). If I ran for office, should I use my nickname or my much more Hispanic-sounding legal name? Coincidentally my wife has a cousin named Roberto that goes by Beto. He works as a custodian at a hospital... so I guess he was trying to trick people there. And gasp... Ted Cruz must be trying to trick people using his much more Anglo nickname. Face it... you are simply regurgitating right wing lunacy, no matter how disproven it is and how ridiculous it makes you look.
People are dogging you, but respect for actually acknowledging your mistake. It is unbelievably rare to see someone in D&D actually say they were wrong. Would probably be healthy if more people did that, including me.
It isn't actually disproven. You can't actually prove he doesn't do it to manipulate his base who might just see the name they most identify with and check yes. Also what does Cruz have to do with it? He is scum for doing the same thing, which you just noted but will deny it being a bad thing probably just to maintain consistency. Funny how both were matched against each other isn't it? Anyway, these are opinions. I can't 100 percent prove to you that he is deceiving. This argument won't go anywhere. Think what you want man.
'Because the words congressman and mayor look so similar they get confusing. And heck, mayor and congressman basically do the same thing...
