Hearing this **** from Trump supporters is hilarious.

I’ll worry more about the moron that is President over a junior congresswoman that is a moron.

it's got nothing to do with her being a woman. It has to do with her knowing NOTHING about finances and economics.

So...I gather her being on that committee doesn't concern you at all. Fair enough...but that's scary too. What makes you think she is remotely qualified for that?

One has nothing to do with the other. The question asked was 'why do people care about this idiot so much?" I answered it. I gather you're another that sees her as qualified for that.. Based on what? Do please share.

FWIW....Trump's credential's on that front DWARF AOC's...so if this is your 'logic'....that explains an awful lot.

The fact that you can read this senile rambling (and the other hundred examples) coming from the President of the United States, but you're scared because AOC was appointed to the finance committee tells me you're judgement is severely impaired.

She can learn on the job. She has people around her who have more experience. I'm not worried about her. As I said before the people who seem most obsessed with her are folks that are not her supporters.

The fact that you can't answer any question without referring to Trump, no matter how unrelated, confirms how impaired your judgement is.

I am curious though....what senile rambling does 'this' refer to? Because, again...Trump was never a part of this conversation, until you injected him. The only thing this could really refer to was ... your own post? (that's all there is other than the question someone asked, which I quoted and answered). Are you telling everyone your own post was senile rambling? Well, ok, but see above regarding impaired judgement...and count this as conclusive evidence.

This is a fair answer. I don't think you really want people 'learning on the job' for things like our finances, but yes, she'll be surrounded with others. Clearly already happening...she didn't come up with The Green Deal on her own.

The media is forcing her down everyones throat. I feel like I see an AOC article every time I go to Yahoo (my homepage) or cnn or any other kind of mainstream website. Idk how much of it is conservatives being “obsessed” with her and how much of it is the media constantly putting her at the forefront. The media has a large role in driving the national dialogue.

I agree the media is putting a lot of focus on her.

Well, the thing is, you see multiple Democrat candidates for President sucking up to her horrible plan as some great thing. When you get that many people getting behind her plan...is she really just some "junior congresswoman"?

Seriously, no more cows? No more planes? Supporting those "UNWILLING" to work? Yep, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Corey Booker, Kristin Gilibrand, Amy Klobuchar, and Elizabeth Warren ALL are getting behind the Green New Deal.

No, Trump’s credentials do not dwarf AOC’s and that is the point.

Do I think she is qualified? To be what? Elected to Congress? To be President?

I don’t agree with many of her political positions and would not have voted for her had I lived in her district.

Let's not support idiots on either side. It's sad people support her. Same with Trump

I don’t agree with her politically on many issues. She has a cult of personality and her achievements do not match her charisma or accomplishments (like the current President), but at the end of the day she is an extremist congresswoman.

No one is going to support the abolition of planes and cows. Further we already support those not willing to work. Every society does either directly or indirectly.

I do not think she is good for the Democratic Party or the country. However I find it chuckle worthy that she is essentially Trump when it comes to the techniques of manipulation and pandering.... yet now all hell is being let loose by a group of people that were oblivious to the same issues in the White House.

just on paper I think this statement is incorrect. Trump has the same BS in economics that AOC does (from Penn's Wharton School), and then 46 years of experience running multi-billion dollar companies (whether he ran them well or not is a different question). Ocasio-Cortez has an equivalent degree in economics from Boston University and started a small publishing company before doing mostly not-for-profit work.

So I don't think you can say "Trump's credentials do not dwarf AOC's {credentials}," not if you're being fair. If you have been to New York City (and I suspect you have been to New York City), you will see Trump's influence absolutely everywhere in Manhattan.

    WHA???

    Let's compare.
One had a large global business worth hundreds of millions, and the other had a 430 credit score, got evicted from 2 places she was living, and couldn't even get an apartment in DC due to that.

You don't think the one dwarfs the other?

One was given hundreds of millions of dollars for doing nothing ran his businesses into the ground and had to file for bankruptcy multiple times. One was responsible for fraudulent businesses the other has none of those problems.

A low credit score happens to people all the time, those who aren't given hundreds of millions of dollars that is. What is Trump's excuse for not being able to secure a loan?

Sincerely offered: for most of us, the house is really in fire. We have big problems. And this AOC crap is like someone worried about a possible small leak in the garden's drip irrigation system, while fire engines are arriving.

    Not a 430. That's ridiculously low.

Who gave Trump hundreds of millions of dollars??? In what way is his business 'run into the ground?"

But, all this aside, do you really think AOC is MORE qualified to be on the House Finances Committee? If so, I'm not going to try to convince you otherwise. Trump has forgotten more about finance than AOC ever will know. None of her policies make any financial sense. And now she's in a position to enact them. Apparently with a large crowd cheering her on.

Yes, indeed, this answers the question as to why anyone pays attention to her.

"Most of us " is what your view is on a Basketball forum. Reality is there are a lot of idiots who take her seriously. Just like Trump. You better wake up or he'll be your president for another term because of a clown. AOC is trash
