https://hoopshype.com/2018/11/16/how-many-times-has-each-nba-team-paid-the-luxury-tax/ Guess how many times the Rockets team paid the luxury tax throughout their entire franchise history A whopping two times. And even then it was just barely above the limit, so in terms of total paid amount, Houston ranks at 24th in the league Only six teams have paid less than the Rockets (Atlanta, Washington, Milwaukee, Detroit, Charlotte, New Orleans) which are all smaller markets than Houston, and other than Detroit, none of them had any real chance at winning the title. We actually do. In terms of Market Size/Team Record to Luxury Tax spending ratio, Houston might be the worst (or best, depending on how you look at it) It's a penny pinching franchise overall, no other way to put it
i dont think people understand how bad the rockets gonna be when harden gone and cp gone lol its gonna be a $hit show
I like our chances. I'm optimistic. Everyone's in a ruffle because Clint is out and we're not dominating like we're used to. For some reason CF posters think we are a .500 team. But we don't have our WHOLE TEAM right now. Shump is a definite upgrade over Ennis, and when Clint gets back we're gonna be a force to be reckoned with. But whiners gonna whine Everybody on here be like
Shump is better than Ennis no doubt. But we don’t have an actual SF even on the roster right now. We can’t just play 4 guys 6’5” and under. We will be way to small.
Everybody still living last season but the NBA has changed. Its not matching up with GSW only anymore
Can you imagine Morey picking first rounds picks. They would all be bust. Dude needs years of nba data to put it in on his computer and still sucks.
I'll say it again. Last season we had a 90% winning percentage when James, CP and Clint all started and played together That was BEST in the NBA We ended up with first seed in the West We were 2-1 vs GSW We had GSW down 3-2 before CP went down and took them to 7 games WE WERE BETTER THAN THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS This season, with the unfortunate injuries we haven't had our 3 amigos really together much. So, we haven't really had our REAL team most of the season. And YES, Clint changes the dynamics of our team pretty dramatically. James is very effective with him on the floor Let's just see what happens before everyone wets their diapers All you ever do is complain on this board
He’s been to 2 WCF so far. This year will be the 4th where he will either be MVP or runner up. He’s chasing Wilt records. Making the super max. And we are the franchise that gave him the keys. Don’t feel sorry. I strongly disagree with anyone who really thinks Harden is upset about this season. I would bet he has more confidence in our healthy roster than most here.
i know there may be some good players in the buy-out market, but what a load of crap. We had a bad offseason. We did not come into this season a better team than last year; we came in a worse team. But i had faith Morey would make it right by the trade deadline. He didn't. The only moves he made was to save lux tax. I am so disappointed in the front office.
All those guys are unplayable even Ennis according to CF. Everybody wants him out of the lineup he gets traded suddenly Rox make the worst deals ever. I give Morey a solid B+ this deadline. He fixed the mistakes he made in the offseason and gave the team decent depth. At least Harden isn't playing with GLeague players anymore. And while saving money too so I guess Tillman is pleased cuz apprently he is broke AF. Capela/Faried/Nene Tucker/Nene/Green EG/Shumpert/Green Harden/EG/Shumpert Cp3/Rivers/Harden Extra: Ellington/Stauskas Thats a pretty solid 9 man rotation, if they need more bigs bring in Harty they need more guards bring in the 2 other guys.
