Really? They wouldn't have traded Zubac or some other at the time scrub making the minimum for him? They ended up trading Zubac about an hour ago for next to nothing.

So much for the power of the banana boat.

Why is this thread still a thing? :)

Can we convert it into an Appreciation Thread?

I think we should wait on the buyouts to finalize

So you're saying they could've trade zubac for melo, both on minimum salaries, or they could have dumped two guys for a scrub, so that they'd have room to add Melo, on a vet minimum.

Is there a cap angle I'm not seeing? Cause otherwise, this is a distinction without a difference, with the benefit of making Lebron's friend wait two months to join his team.

Even LeBron is smart enough to see that Melo is washed up, Wade came to play with bron in cleveland, and was traded. Wade is still mad he has a trade on his career record.

I wonder if this thread will get as long as the Melo threads

why would they or anyone for that matter give up anything for melo when they can get him when he chooses them.

there's a reason why nobody gave up anything for him despite sitting at home for like 3 months. Bc he was going to end up on the market one way or the other
