    Phew,,,sure glad it’s over.

At the rate we were going, had it lasted one more hour, we would have no more 2nd Round picks until 2030.

Do you realize how many draft picks (including Melton) we gave up to get under the cap, not to mention using all our cash, which could have gone to buying a pick or two this year.

We are down like 1 FRP, and 5 SRPs...which could have all been avoided, AND we could still end up with the very same lineup as today...with worst case having to keep Ennis instead of getting Shumpert.

Smh all that hype over nothing. Morey should have stated nothing last time he said we would be active on the trade deadline.

We probably have sights on the buyout market but I really thought we would get something

tilman under the tax line actually gets paid by the taxpaying owners now. w/ that extra dough now he'll be able to buy his kid the GI Joe w/ the kung fu grip

With all the LT money we saved does that mean we can buy picks willy nilly now?

    ;)

You can't predict the buyout market. Would've could've should've... the best thing you can do now is to assemble the best roster you can with what is remaining. If Morey didn't do anything after the season ended, people would've been up in arms... hindsight 20/20...

edit... doesn't Morey have a history of buying back 2nd round picks? don't worry about those...

At least with young guys you have the hope they could progress as better players tomorrow.

Can't say the same thing about Shumpert, Rivers and Co.

Seriously, this is what's frustrating. We've spend our full cash allotment, a 1 first round pick, 5 second round picks and Melton and we maybe made 1 marginal increase in talent. Nothing to celebrate here.

Nothing to celebrate, but today has been a good day in the sense that my expectations have been readjusted. I know where Tilman stands going forward and what his priorities are for the team.

not like we had much to deal to begin with...the lack of assets needed to build this team is frustrating

Most of y'all tripping.. y'all act like we should be able to trade our trash for all-stars every year..

Nothing I said has anything to do with hindsight.

    • You listed our roster, and said don’t complain.
    • I said we could have had that very same roster today AND kept all our picks...1 FRP and 5 SRPs, had we just cut players instead.
Do you see how we spent our future picks just to save money? We would still have same playoff roster. We gained NOTHING, and lost significant future picks, which are also trade assets.

on the contrary, we gained a full glimpse into the future of this franchise under tilman, who has now shown his cards in full unobstructed view.

Just to be clear, the Bucks got Mirotic for 4 second round picks and expirings
    Markieff was dumped for nothing
Otto Porter was dumped for expirings

We traded 1 first and 5 seconds

At least i don't have to get quoted over and over again about how Knight was going to be such a better asset than Anderson.

    Of course they're done.
Got under the LT. "Our work here is done."

Did Tilfart take fat ass Thaddeus, Daryl & Keith to Saltgrass for a celebratory brunch/drink while also making them pay?

Bingo. We had a clear mandate to get under the luxury tax. It's not like nobody was available. Decent players got moved and we just had different priorities.
