What the hell, Pacers are a first round exit in the playoffs.

This is why the "sign the buyout guys" strategy is risky & was foolish IMO. The Rockets third best 3/4 is Gary freaking Clark. You cannot risk a prime season of James Harden without having a real legit strategy with actual NBA basketball players confirmed to man the most important role player positions on the roster. If I'm Harden right now, I'm pissed... .which is not good. That guy is giving this team and this city all he has. I'm embarrassed.

Offered him a Chinese shoe deal and backup minutes to Yao (which, come to think of it, would have been a starting role half the time).

I believe Fertitta task a loan to purchase the rockers. His net worth before purchase was less than purchase price. He needs to make a profit more than most owners as a result. He wants to win, but he needs cash flow even more.

So any buyout targets will have to be within those constraints.

So the Rockets are $634K below the luxury tax line:

I believe salaries are prorated from the time of signing for tax purposes, right? If so, how much would a vet min contract cost towards the tax line if signed after the all star break?

Gortat aka zangif from street fighter is done. He looks as bad as Nene.As bad as Kanter is on defense the guy is way better on offense which makes up for his defensive challenges.. Kanter is a way better option

Starting SF is where the minutes are. 36 minutes a game...

You're deluding yourself if you think the Rockets are a lock to be better than that. We are nowhere near a favorite to go the WCF
