I’m baffled at the amount of people who would rather try to incrementally upgrade this year at the cost of severely hampering the next few. And the reality is, we may have actually incrementally improved this year AND set ourselves up for better future flexibility. A lot of boo hoo’n over smart, longer term thinking moves.

Yeah, who would be dumb enough to think hampering the future by trading Melton, a first round pick, 3 second round picks, and a large expiring contract for the summer of 2019 in order to save the owner some money is a good idea. Oh wait.
