Thanks, I misunderstood. It'd be nice to see what picks they've left to convey, for maybe a rebounding 3/4.
Looks to me like they're freeing up roster spots either for a trade where they receive more players than they send out or for the impending buyout market. I'dd add with the addition of Rivers and now Shumpert and Gordon entering his final season on his contract next year I will not be shocked to see Gordon moved in the next few hours.
Re Nene being a decent backup center. That's true, for 10 minutes or so, once a week. He does provide great veteran leadership, and by all accounts is a great locker room guy. Maybe that's worth a 2nd to some team?
From afar it seemed like Ennis wasn't enamored being Rockets than being doing his own thing. With Iman entering , it is probably best for him to exit than stay being Iman's ballboy. Appreciation thread here next
37% 3 point shooter, including 48% from corners. Average to below average defender. High energy but makes mental mistakes. Brewer on the other the hand: garbage shooter, average to below average defender. High energy but makes mental mistakes. Yea, give me Ennis every time.
The dude is too tall to be on the team. The Fuq. So basically we dumped every guy we signed this offseason.
Well, Mirotic is gone from being a trade target. And it looks like the two guards from Cleveland just went to Indy. Apologies if the question's been answered already, but since the two guards were on the minimum, and there's a minimum number of players you need to field, isn't that move salary neutral? I.e., whoever replaces them on the Rockets is going to make as much or more than those two guards would? Though it does leave two vacancies for players that better fit the roster. Perhaps some bigs in the buyout market on vet minimums? Anyone know yet what Indy ended up giving the Rockets for those two?
MEM - Green or Kyle Anderson Either could really help as swing F with length to work into rotation when PJ just too stumpy/slow to matchup on perimeter ORL - Ross Really like the player, but ... Seems a bit redundant with Shump, GG, PJ right? How many 6'6" guys do you need? Rather have another 6'8" type for more matchup options on D when facing guys too big for our current wings CHA - Batum (only if bought out) MKG would (IMO) be a terrible fit on this team for spacing (Brewer 2.0) Kaminsky wouldn't even play here ahead of CC & Faried, and can't move well enough on D to guard 4s (Ryno 2.0) Batum would be a perfect fit as other starting F next to PJ ... but ONLY as a buyout Since Cod is talking only trades in his post ... MIN - Taj No thanks Almost the anti 3&D Forward, so fixes neither glaring need
Definitely. He and Shump have a venture together, too. Ennis pissed James off because of his inability to be in the right spots (allegedly). Drove PJ and CP insane too
definitely makes sense. you can clearly see that on the floor game to game. they're always talking to him on the floor and the defensive breakdowns were just constant
