Thought Bima or Nook mentioned around the last of the great cash considerations trades that the Rockets had only something like $560k or so that could be used in a deal this year. I don't know if that would be enough to ship off one of them. And then, if that leaves a roster spot open, don't you just have to refill it with another minimum player? So I don't see what that would gain you, LT-wise.
Yeah I figured there were rules against that ... thanks Well damn As others already mentioned ... Dumping MCW Melo Ennis + Nene Stauskus & Baldwin should get us under the tax line With enough room leftover to still make another move or 2 on buyouts Best case Dump final 3 above Use remaining MLE to add Chandler & either Ellington or Matthews New Playoff rotation (if Pringles actually plays more than 7 this year): CC / Faried PJ / Chandler Shump / WE or WM JH / EGo CP3 / Rivers At least bench would have some firepower Might get you to 2nd Rd, but no further
I don't mind. Look at my prior posts ******** on Ennis. Yes he did play better recently. No he didn't show me anything where his improved play would translate versus Western conference playoff teams. If Shumphert shows well, and House comes back then Ennis is getting zero minutes anyways.
If I understood Cod correctly, he was saying that the last deal the Rox would do, would involve some team giving the Rox picks. (Which means BimaThug could have his Draft Party after all, but I digress) Would teams give picks to get Nene? And if so, why?
Our picks (I have no idea how many we have (Bima?) , a flip, Ne, cash etc for another difference maker. All I was told is *if* this move happens, it's for someone who can immediately come in and contribute. I keep hearing Memphis, Orlando and Charlotte, along with a small whisper in Minny.
Because he's a decent backup center. He actually has played well for the Rockets once he returned from injury.
While I support the moves Morey has made, this just further illustrates how awful of an off-season he had. Good lord.
You know, a converted House might be good enough for some other GM to take a flyer on with a legit 2nd rounder. Other than that, I'm drawing a blank. I can't see Tucker getting moved for a pick, nor can I see a GM giving a pick for either of the guards from Portland by way of Cleveland. I don't think they're dumping Shump.
Ennis might suck at times. But what is the benefit for giving out Ennis for free, besides Tilman saving the money in his pocket?
