You can't aggregate TPEs like that. Besides, Rockets are clearly looking to shed salary, so those exceptions won't be used this year, and probably not at all. Sorry to burst your bubble...
Thought you couldn't combine TEs to acquire a player. One acquired player, one TE. I don't know, but I'm pretty sure you can't, use a TE to absorb some of the salary against the cap of an incoming player whose salary exceeds the TE.
I think we can use cash to move one or both of stauskas and Baldwin. I think we can use a 2nd to dump nene. I think that would get us under the luxury tax enough to still use our leftover mle money on the buyout market on a player and even add a 2nd via vet minimum while staying under the luxury tax line. Anyone more of an accountant that can do math?
James Harden, Chris Paul are recruiting on the phone also, remember the buyouts in Austin Rivers, Kenneth Faried have been playing great since Rockets signed them. Ennis sucked. Our depth is better now than it was yesterday. It’s funny how people call other people cheap for wanting to save millions of dollars when it’s not their money. He has said if there were a trade that would of put us over the top he would ok it. There wasn’t. You have to play the hand that is dealt to you. The warriors were dealt a royal flush when they got boogie. They probably won’t have two of their stars next year. Do the best you can and prepare for the next hand. Morey did that.
There's no f'ing way they're giving away Gordon to save money. If they do that, Harden will demand a trade. Nene is the guy I'm worried they'll dump. Despite his injuries and inability to play B2Bs, I'd hate to lose him. Everyone focuses on Harden's meltdown vs the Spurs in 2017, but it was Nene going down that really turned the tide in that series.
Was hoping for picks to package for Jaylen Brown so that Boston could get AD in the summer. Still hoping.
