I don't usually venture off my favorite crawfish spots, the past two season my go to has been BB's Cafe. Before that it was LA Crawfish, specifically the one inside of 99 Ranch off of I-10, and before that I would hit up just any place that had good crawfish, Ragin Cajun, Pappadeaux, SRO's. Any recommendations for other spots around Houston?
I'm going to try out Crawfish Shack in Crosby for the first time pretty soon. I hear that is best. For ppl that have been there. Will it be crowded during the weekdays ?
The Boil House in the Heights. You might have to wait an hour or more for a table, but it's VERY worth it and it's owned by a family from Louisiana and they do the perfect boil with seasoning.
Yes, the gravel parking lot will be full of nothing but trucks. ALWAYS packed on weekends well into the night. Also watch for cops after coming over the railroad track bridge on 2100 at the curve. Crosby cops sit there and hand out tickets like candy.
I agree about the boil house in the heights. Pooks in santa fe is also excellent especially the BYOB part.
Best Crawfish I had last year was at McIntyres. They are doing a free lb. on the 9th with a bucket purchase of Dos XX.
LA crawfish is pretty good. Also, not trying to hijack but does anybody know if Houston has a place that serves Nashville Hot chicken anywhere?
