He doesn't need to finish at the basket he just needs to defend and shoot open 3s which he is already doing at 37% before playing in this offense and with James Harden. His addition will definitely be gake changing and since he probably wont make more than 10M per year next year theres a chance Rox can keep him long term too.

"On top of the fact he's an incredible personality...These guys over here absolutely love Shump." -- Christie

Well, he didn't disappoint. Probably posted in the mega trade thread, but thought I'd add here.

Guess it's easier to be classy after a trade when you're going to play with Harden and get the chance to help him pick his Hip-Hop tunes for pre-game warmups.

Wonder why Tinman doesn't come out and start making fun of House only fans.

We've had a hole in our defense ever since we've lost Ariza. Shump may be good enough to fill that hole.

Fill that hole and what do we get? Last year's defense.

Will that put our team on another level? Aw hell yeah!

Adding Shumpert without losing a rotation piece will matter. Hell, as mediocre as Ennis has been, even adding an Ennis clone would help our depth. I think Shumpert is likely to be better than Ennis. We can at least stop being small at the SG position now and can move Harden to the 3 full time, where I think he's more suited and better for his long term career too.

For a salary dump, you could do much much worse. Usually you don't get anything useful in return. At least we got a good player.

when a team have so much hope on a player with FG% below 40, you know there is more than just one problem in that team.

Look, what matters the most to Tillman is staying under the LT, that's the reality. Hit F5 as much as you want, but don't expect a "game changer" player being traded to Rockets this time.

I for one am looking forward to another guy in Shumpert, along with Tucker to lead this teams defense. If Shumpert's defense is as good as everyone is saying it is, I'm looking forward to it.

How many games have we lost this season not because of our lack of offense, but because of our lack of effort on defense?

I will continue to preach that this team desperately needs length.

Dude you make so many negative posts about the Rockets. Didn't notice this about you in years past. Why don't you just try to enjoy the team. Remember when you were wishing for Mark Freaking Cuban to be the owner? Try to enjoy reality.
