The Rockets are now 4.3M over tax line, can avoid tax this year and repeater tax for the next 3 years if they dump Nene and one of Stauskas/Baldwin.
It was purely to the Cavs under the lux tax. We broke Chriss into two minimum deals that can be traded individually to any team without needing their salaries to be matched. We will trade both individually with cash likely. Then we will be only 1 mill above the tax. I think we'd then have to stretch Nene to get below.
Shumpert for Mirotic can go thru if before end of trade deadline (Shump by himself...can’t be packaged with another player) I expect Wade to be cut or moved
I think having dumped Knight, we can actually take back someone in a Gordon trade who is not expiring. Meaning, someone worth giving up a protected pick for since we will have that asset for some time. I hope so at least. I'm sensing the Rockets are dead set on Harden being a SF going forward, and I'm not totally against that because it's a better match up with the Warriors that way. We are set in the backcourt. Paul, Harden, Rivers will eat a majority of the minutes and one of Stauskas/Green/Baldwin will be able to give us insurance minutes as 4th guard. We don't have a backup PF right now and that's a position that doesn't seem possible to fill in the buyout market. I hope that's what they're thinking.
So similar to Gordon, very interesting. Was a good shooter in college, if he can get that shot to fall in the NBA he may have a career.
I'm not clear on this because Staskas and Baldwin are listed as minimum contracts. I'm not sure what portion of their salaries are counting towards LT number right now.
You motger****ers acting like Les didn't pull cap flexibility trades, remember that quote from McHale. Les bought this franchise for 30 thousand dollars and never hit the lux tax. Tilman bought the rockets for 2 billion dollars and expect him to do miracles. First, let's clear all of Morey ****ups.
