Lol... it’s half his games as a Rocket. So which set of 10 games is the real sample size smart man? What if he has an additional 30 games of playing like trash for the Wiz this season as well? Rivers ability to create his own shot is at an abysmal efficiency.
If by abysmal efficiency, you mean eFG% in line with these guys, then sure: Austin Rivers - eFG% .502 Damian Lillard - eFG% .522 Kyle Lowry - eFG% .506 Kemba Walker - eFG% .514
It doesn't matter one damn bit if it's half his games as a Rocket. Since he just joined a new team and was immediately thrown into an expanded ISO role due to injuries on a team missing half its core lineup, any smart person would expect fall off. The Wizards as a team has been trash this entire season. They are 10th in a weak conference. Joining a new team that's trash as an ISO player usually produces trash results. How about, oh gee I don't know, looking at how he performed in the previous seasons in a role he settled into on a team he had gelled with to get a better idea of what his capabilities are? Sounds smart doesn't it? No one is saying Rivers is a great player, but he is an offensive spark plug capable of going off for 15+ points a game with his ability to create his own shot. Your post was knee-jerking idiocy. The quicker you accept that instead of getting foolishly defensive and moving on, the better it will be for you.
Lmao how about you compare their TS%’s and explain why all of those players and (gasp) Beverley’s TS% are so much higher then Rivers.
He's set to be back in the next week. I don't think you realize how well he's been playing this year: 19/6/2 while shooting 45% from 3! He really can do it all on offense and flourished when playing under D'Antoni previously. I'd much rather have him than Green/Temple or Alec Burks, which seems to be what Knight+late picks is able to fetch us.
And all I said is I’d rather have Bev and that Rivers has been playing like total trash the last 2 weeks. If Rivers can play like he did last year or when we first signed him then I’ll shut up. I’m not getting foolishly defensive lmao. I’m just sticking to my opinion - Rivers has played like trash lately and I’d rather have Bev.
Your opinion is based on fallacy. Smart people change their opinions and perspectives when they understand that. You are doubling down on dumb instead.
No, I absolutely realize how good he's been. The offense flows through Gallo, not former clipper Tobias. My point is that we have an injury riddled team. Right now, I'm placing a premium i know will absolutely be available the entire playoff push. I have no confidence that Gallo would be available, despite how perfect he would be when healthy.
Lmao HOW is it based on fallacy? I posted the stats of how bad he’s been playing recently. There’s not a damn thing wrong with me preferring Bev, he’s the better player of the two (injury problems aside). I swear I feel like I’m being trolled half the time here. Stay good bro.
Rivers is fine. Sure Bev is the better defender but overall they are likely a wash. We badly need wing help and a backup Big.
Our positive producing vet min player isn’t a part of the problem. It’s injuries, and then Gordon and Paul not stepping up, anything else can be blamed on Morey for not getting more fire power.
If Gallo were injury free, he wouldn't be available at all. The Clips depend on Gallo to generate a lot of offense, which wears you down over time. He wouldn't have that same burden here. Gallo's upside is much higher than the Burks or Temple-Green packages mentioned earlier today. Now, if Saric is on the table (via @cyberx), that would be ideal, since he is cheaper, younger, and injury-free. But Gallo would be a great get too.
Gallo's upside is definitely better than the Burks / Temple-Green package. But, i do disagree that his injuries are due to clipper work injury. Look at his annual game played: http://www.espn.com/nba/player/stats/_/id/3428/danilo-gallinari -- at a certain point, you're an injury prone player who struggles to stay on the court. Hell yes to Saric.
Gordon had a pretty worrisome injury history when we first signed him, but he was pretty healthy the first few years because we did a good job of limiting the burden placed on him. i'm envisioning the same for Gallo
