It still amazes me that this sack of wet diapers didn't lose by 20 points himself for bragging about sexually assaulting women on tape 10 years ago, while Ralph Northam's political life got nuked from orbit by a photo of him in blackface from 35 years ago. It's so strange how much Republicans are willing to lower the bar and let things slide, while Democrats will basically cut any ally's throat if the opportunity presents itself. Tribal psychology is a hell of a drug.
The reason they are willing to throw Northam under the bus is that they think it will make it harder for them to invoke the race card as a political weapon in the upcoming 2020 election cycle if they have fail to do so, and this was going to be one of the main themes for the Democrats during this cycle. Also, Northam was publicly drawing unwelcome attention to the Democrats Mengala-esk abortion and infanticide agenda, which in truth the ringleaders of this group are likely much more concerned about. They needed to make that stop and also send a clear message to other Democrat party blabbermouths about the consequences of jumping the tracks on this topic.
Brit is right about this, calling their opponents racist is the most powerful weapon in the Democrat arsenal, and Northam (who I don't think is racist) sticking around makes that difficult.
Gee... the thought that Democrats would actually be offended by someone doing something racist (even if another Democrat) that they would want him to step down seems so foreign to republicans... no wonder they don't demand steve king to step down.
So, are the Democrats still feverishly pushing the 'believe all women' narrative with regards to these sexual assault accusations against Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax? And if not, why not?
At first, he acknowledged being in the pic, questioned which one he was later, then finally denied being in the picture WHILE saying he did black face a different time. He's clearly full of ****. Even if he isn't in the picture, he picked that picture to be on his yearbook page. There's no winning this fiasco for him.
