According to Woj the sixers have big plans for their new big 4 and are NOT WORRIED ABOUT THE LUXARY TAX!!!! Meanwhile Tilman out here worried about money instead of championships.

just another Ennis/Rivers... will give you 5 good games and 5 bad games every now and then. Rest of the games you won't even remember he played

He is following Tillman's vision, so I don't think he is to blame that much.

I was hoping someone would post this. We couldn’t guard the guy last year. He’s no scrub. He would allow us to move EG if needed for a better piece.

I wake up to all of this panic and despair lol.

Rockets fans have to come to grips with the fact that the Only way to truly cleanse the organization of the Ryno contract and now Knight’s contract is to pay a first. If not that contract will just rot on our books. Dude is injured and hasn’t played significant basketball in years. Imo no one will trade for him next year either. At least Burks can contribute thid year and probably play well in this system.

We ain’t getting around that Ryno deal. No one will save us from it by accepting a second for a meaningless contract. We will have to bleed a little. We may have to overpay. That’s what happens when you trade Ryno’s Contract for an unplayable player who is also on a terrible contract.

Pay the freaking 1st and just move on from the Ryno deal once and for all.

if we end with Burks, the Fertitas rockets are a joke.

and we just want to safe money

Only way this trade would be a success is if we get back a 2 round pick

Bev costs 5 M and is a UFA. Lou is on 8M for two more seasons after the end of this one. I would be happy to get Lou back.

This year's first rounder will probably be the bait to dump Knight.

Burks has the 7th highest DRB% amongst guards who have played in 30 games so far this season, so that's something (it's 15.3%, PJ's is 15.4% for reference). I'm generally annoyed by any deal that isn't 100% defensive based though

I guess there's just nothing out there. If we want to get a guy like Mirotic we need to include Knight just for salary matching purposes. Unless we're giving up Gordon, Knight HAS to go out to make the trade work. From the sounds of it, we've been looking for deals like this all season long and clearly there is nothing better, for example I'm guessing the Pelicans wouldn't give up Mirotic and take back Knight just for a 1st rounder. For a good asset like that teams are looking for a 1st, and probably an extra one just to take Knight back the extra year. This is probably the only role-player based deal we can do.

Nope, the Rockets can cobble together salaries for a rotation player of Burks “quality” without including Knight. This is purely a dump to save Tillman money.

It also removes Knight as an expiring contract next year and the first round pick - for a tram supposedly going all in. Honestly wouldn’t even be mad at Harden wanting a trade in the summer.

Look at how hard is has been to get out from under an $80 million deal. Next year, it will be twice as hard to get out from under a $160 million deal.
