Morey needs to get wing help...Bev is not our most pressing need stay focused on what the main issues with this team are
What this team needs is better players. I'd happily bring Bev back and glue Rivers to the bench (or cut him). Chriss, Hartenstein + 2nds for Bev would be just fine. We'd still have Knight + 1st to offer for an additional wing or forward. Hell, if we'd just bring back House our rotation would look pretty good with Bev's addition. Paul (30) / Beverley (18) Gordon (30) / Harden (11) Beverley (7) Harden (23) / House (25) Tucker (30) / Ennis (18) Capela (32) / Faried (16)
If you can’t see how much piss poor the backcourt defense has gotten with Paul’s dramatic decline then I don’t know what to tell you. Bev would help tremendously
yeah, better players on the wings I’ll believe it when I see it when it comes to a team that is willing to take the corpse of Brandon Knight and a 1st round pick for a good wing player
Lol. Bev didn't want to be here anymore and Lou had negative **** to say about Houston after the trade. I don't really see why this couldn't have been posted in the random trade idea thread(one of the 20 out there).
just looking at the highlights from the last game, he looks like he'd be a good bench player for us, still hitting 38 percent from 3. Couldn't really tell if he's still a defensive stopper or not, but of course he still plays all out....he may have lost a little bit of lateral quickness from that injury, it's hard to tell. that said, he looks like he'd be better for us than rivers on the ball defense. i'd probably give a second for him...i wonder if we could pry avery bradley from them too?
What makes you think Bev doesn’t want to be here anymore? He’s still friends with Harden, still owns his house in Houston, and comes back to Houston during the off seasons. I think he’d be glad to be back.
I like Bev, as do most Rockets fans. If he was a buyout candidate, sure yeah bring him home. As it stands, if we have to give up any assets at all for him, the price is too high. He's a great player, and I wish him all the best, but it really feels like both sides have moved on.
No. We have enough guards already. Besides, Bev is injury prone and things are bad enough already in that department with CP3 and EG(not to mention Knight). Also, isn't he a free agent this summer? Would he be a rental because I can't see Morey paying him 5+ mil a season given how much is already invested in the backcourt.
