The max money cavs can take is 15.7 million. They almost reach tax limit.
    Two for two?

Would we receive a trade exception?

I can't help but wonder if this is a precursor to EG being moved. If I'm Morey, I'm attaching Chriss's contract to any EG trade, just to get that lump of wasted potential off of our bench.

He needs to go if he continues to run this season into the ground. Can't waste Harden's prime like that. Fertitta should give either him or D'Antoni the boot. And if no one's willing to trade with Morey, that becomes even more alarming.

You homers are delusional. How long do you think Harden's staying here if freaking Morey is getting him help in the form of Austin Rivers, James Ennis, and Alec Burks? Wake up.

I don’t understand why Knight didn’t thrive in D’Antoni’s system. Seems like the perfect fit for it.

Holy **** this man assembled a 65-win team last year that was screwed out of the finals by the league office alone, have some faith lol.

Conveniently you left out Kenneth Faried.

What genius move did you expect him to pull off? What exactly was he supposed to get in return for Knight, who can't play and is still owed $15M for next season? You really think someone would give us something of actual value for THAT?

Instead we get Burks, who might help this year, but more than likely won't. Then next year he'll be gone and we have $15M more to play with.

You may think it's a lame move now, but you'll thank Dorrell Marley come summertime.

lol "brilliant GM work." Being desperate and trading picks and your largest salary filler? Sure.

I’d guess Chriss is going somewhere else.

It probably would've helped it he could have gotten on the court a little.

Why? He’s expiring after this year. We didn’t pick up his option and he doesn’t make big money. Let him rot. You don’t give up EG to move someone with less than 3 months left on their deal

Okay, fine, a dude who's been irrelevant for years and still sucks at defense? Yay, we got Faried! That's supposed to be Harden's help?

lmao I absolutely expect a GM of his stature to land a similarly-valued player who actually fills a position we need. Yes. If he can't do that, then he doesn't really distinguish himself from the pool of GMs, correct?

He's got to be an upgrade over Knight, who never plays. Burks can contribute. What's to complain about?

That Ryno contract still haunting us and Morey everyday, inspiring hundreds of threads and thousands of posts. :(

I'm just imagining what the CP3 contract will look like for CF in a year or two

Burks was a pretty good roleplayer in Utah.
He's not a star but should definitely help.
Of course the main thing is getting out from under the final remnants of Anderson..
