    We are getting destroyed in the paint this year and without Clint is not even funny. If we can score DJ and shed NeNe, that would be amazing. Gobert is gonna eat tonight.

    Maybe NY will keep DJ and Mathews until the trade deadline in case they can get something for them. Hopefully they will get bought out after and we can get lucky on one or both players.

    I’d imagine if they don’t trade them they will buy them out just on good faith with whoever represents them.

    Never bad to have good relationships with these players agents.

    Yeah I think they are hoping for that but in terms of salary matching and luxury tax issues there are almost no teams where a trade makes sense.

    Doubt they will generate much trade interests for the Knicks. They don't want get salaries back for sure, and they want picks. Most likely they are just not in a rush to buy them out by the trade deadline.

    Charlotte is about to trade for Gasol. Posted this a couple of days ago in the Matthews thread:

    Now that we can take Charlotte out, aside for the Spurs (which is a team i expected to see go after Gasol btw) i don't see who is going to trade for DeAndre at this point. Maybe the Kings, but DeAndre would eat Cauley-Stein and Bagley minutes...
