Let's not overstate his impact... Our performance took a hit at around the same time Capela also got hurt.
Convincing and signing Danuel House should be the biggest move to improve this team. A healthy roster is ideal but you cannot predict when the injuries will happen. It's just a reality. Granted Clint Capela is a vital player and absence is hard to replace. That goes the same for Chris Paul. Not to understate the contributions of KFaried and Austin Rivers. But a healthy Eric Gordon with his A game, and the possibility of signing DHouse really puts this team back in contention for a good playoff spot.
Correlation does not imply causation. He might be worth a win or 2 but he's not worth the trouble. A lot of players play good while taking on a specialist role in the Harden-Rocket's climate. The scrub was getting cut by the Suns not long before he was given the best platform to perform handed to him on a platter here.
He’s a good fit here, and it’s a good place for him to be. If something doesn’t get worked out it’s going to be a lose lose, but ultimately he is replaceable, and he’s probably pissing away a real opportunity. I’ve said it before, I just don’t think he’s a very smart guy. Maybe that’s the reason he’s bounced around so much.
In the meantime, no other scrubs "given the best platform to perform handed to them on a platter here" good take advantage of it -- Ennis, Clark, Melo, MCW, Nene, Chriss ... and he also outplayed Green.
House is like a 10 ppg player wtf. Stop overrating the guy! You know who had 25 pts the last game? Gerald Green! How many people say Green is the key to champ formula?
I’m guessing the Rockets convert House’s contract either after the trade deadline (Feb 7) or after the point that they can pick up vets for the playoffs (Mar 1). Patience, he’ll be back.
Arent you over exaggerating just a bit? Sure he outplayed Green but its not a huge improvement, he had 9.5 pts in 24 mins Green has 9 pts in 20 mins big whoop. House has 5% from FG and 4% better 3 pt shooting but their attempts are pretty low so the difference doesn't matter. Would it be better to have House than not have him? Of course. But quit acting like he's a franchise player wtf he will be a bench dude playing 15 mpg and 5 mins pt in the playoffs once we trade for a real starting wing.
I don't think anyone is acting like House is a franchise player …. but damn , this team when healthy is really close and any increment you can get better is a big deal … House does make the team better. I think the biggest issue is we don't know what House and his agent are demanding other than to reach FA in the coming offseason. We know what Morey offered and don't know if they counter offered.
In the latest mailbag from Feigen, he pretty much said it’s over unless House folds. So we shall see if what he gets as a RFA
