@Codman you mentioned that Ennis is in the rather small doghouse of Harden's. Any word about PJs recent slew of mistakes? Seems like he's making boneheaded passes once a game lately. I hope alls well with him and nothing weird is up. Hope alls well with your cancer battle too (even though that's not how it works.. all being well). Just curious about PJs doghouse potential.
And you would be right my friend..... i dont see them moving Beal at all.... unless Wall is moving out as well.... moving that contract might be the hardest feat in the history of the NBA.
After Beard, PJ is #2 as far as holding this team together. CP3 said it recently, PJ just doesn’t get enough F’ing credit. If we can get him a decent defensive running mate at Forward, we will get back to being an elite defense, IMO. We were trending that way when House was playing well.
I mean internal chemistry and culture is important... but on the court PJ hasn't been as good this year, imo, especially defensively. Indeed if there's a Clint and a much better defensive SF around him, he does better.
we can take 50 mill off their roster Beal and Porter CC, EG, Chriss, Knight + a 1st They get a great young center locked in, and a bunch of expiring next year. EG and CC could work decently with Wall.
Have beal play the JH in Thunder role. CP/Rivers JH/Beal Porter/Mathews or ariza will prob get bought out Tucker/Faried DJ/Faried That gets us a ship and puts us in the running for years to come. Beal is just as good as Jimmy Buttler
You guys know the owner of the Wizards has been on record that Beal isn't on the block, right? I don't understand this Bradley Beal movement. Anthony Davis is actually a more realistic target because at least he has demanded a trade and is on the block. Beal has not demanded a trade and Beal is not on the block. Not to mention he plays the same position as Harden. I guess he could play SF but it's a less than ideal use of his talent. I'm seriously over here thinking "Man, it's probably way too much to hope for Taurean Prince" and y'all over here like "We're totally getting an All-Star that isn't even on the block."
And you're putting two dudes on our roster that might not even be bought out (and including Capela in trades because you're banking on DJ being bought out).
I like jimmy but Bradley is the better player. Guys a true offensive monster. Would play great in MDA system with his shooting and ability to playmake out of the pick and roll. Butler is better on D but Beal is still a decent defender and he’s younger.
with the wall news.... ITS TIME This will be like trading for HARDEN he will be a superstar, played behind wall didnt get as much hype. Bring him here and him and Harden will be unstoppable
I mean, I don’t know how you could possibly think he’s been bad on defense and not only that you think his defense has been worse than his offense which is crazy to me man. He is our best defensive player(or CP not sure) the only problem he has is grabbing boards over bigger players and frankly that’s not his fault.
The Wall news just effectively lowered the likelihood that Beal will be dealt with fair prices. Not a big fan of the potential deal in the first place. I say we just contribute by driving up the prices, and stay away.
Man Washington is in a really shitty position. Capped out, not competitive, and their athletic star player is on a supermax deal with a debilitating injury. There's blood in the water here
Washington has no reason to trade Beal at this point. What deals are available now that wouldn't be available in the offseason? They'd have more options then, including a clear picture of draft positioning. Apparently, they even really like Porter so they don't want to "dump" his contract either. So we really have nothing to offer them to entice them to make a trade by Thursday.
