The contrition was when I started out with "Sorry about that!". And I am. That said, it's a beautiful game and while I understand your frustration you still don't know 99.9% of what is coming. I promise I didn't ruin it for you.
Memphis is one of the teams asking for too much for their players..... but they are not the only one. A number of teams are putting forward the face that they want expiring contracts, #1's and/or teams to take on other salary. Not much has happened for that reason. The Pelicans are the same, expecting a lot too. At some point a couple of settlers will cave and accept less than they want, and then the market will open up....... Rockets likely will be trying to get guys really close to the deadline, thinking teams will accept meager assets rather than getting nothing.
My neighbor. I always helped her out with her ex boyfriend problems. Now that she is single Im trying to get with her. I shot my shot and were supposed to have a "movie night" at her place this week
Griz in: Rockets 2019 1st, Brandon Knight and Danuel House Rockets in: JaMychal Green, Garrett Temple and Memphis 2019 second via Hornets.
Yes, I thought of that and so many other posters I'm sure too. Prince's asking price must be really high, because of his youth and cheap contract, if Cod's info is right. ( I'm quite sure he is correct). He is a good role player. Holiday is not worth more than Chriss and a 2nd.
Beal.....if not baze or Green. Buyout market will help...so will house and health. Rockets are ready to go. IDC what anyone says.
You would be dumb not to want AD if we could get him, but we just can't. I would trade CP3 and Capela for AD if we could
Out of the realistic options, I want JaMychal Green. PJ Tucker is very undersized at PF. He's only 6'5". PJ Tucker's rebounding rate is 9.7, which is 56th out of 63 qualified PF's in the NBA. That's really, really low. JaMychal Green's rebounding rate is 16.1... which puts him at 13th out of 63 qualified PF's. Considering rebounding is one of the Rockets' biggest needs, he could REALLY help. Green has size, he can rebound, and he's shooting 39.6% from 3. He's averaging 10 ppg in 22 minutes per game. Tucker averages 8 ppg in 35 minutes. And he can play decent defense. Per 36: Green: 16.1 pts, 10.1 reb, 39.6% 3pt%, 1.0 blk, 79% ft% Tucker: 8.1 pts, 6.2 reb, 36.9% 3pt%, 0.5 blk, 63% ft% I'm not suggesting Tucker be replaced, but I think they could split minutes at PF, and depending on match-ups one of them can play more. Then if they get Danuel House back, that could add some rebounding even more. House has a rebounding rate of 8.0. For comparison, Ariza had a rebounding rate last season of 7.3. If they bring back House, I don't see a reason for another wing defender... especially since the only guys available are small, being only 6'5" or so. And if they can get DeAndre Jordan, he's 3rd in the league with a rebounding rate of 23.7. Capela is 12th with a rate of 20.6. Faried is 18th among centers with a rate of 18.9. Rebounding, which has been a huge weakness this season, could then become a huge strength. It would also make the defense a lot better. So I say trade for JaMychal Green, bring back Danuel House, and hope to get DeAndre Jordan in a buyout. Even without Jordan, Faried has been great.
I agree with most of this. The exception is that we don’t need another defensive wing. We need more depth at the 3 spot. I like House a lot, but I’m not comfortable starting him vs elite nba championship caliber teams if we advance deep innings the playoffs. As fine with him as a backup, but a tall, long defensive minded guy who can shoot is what we need as a starter. An Ariza upgrade. If Morey can at least do that, and bring back House to come off the bench, then I like our chances a lot better. J Green and DJ could help solidify our depth due to the reasons you pointed out. But we have got to get a playoff starting caliber 3 if we want any real chance to contend this year.
Anthony Davis of course! He is the Rolls Royce to make our ride to the Championship so much sweeter than others, who may have some spark and a little more oomph than what we have now, but won't be near as exciting choices.
I mean, I agree, but I can't think of anybody like that who is available. A tall, long, experienced 3 who is good on defense and could shoot is obviously great, but a guy like that who is available doesn't exist. House is a long, athletic wing who can play some defense, rebound and shoot. Obviously he isn't experienced, and who knows if he can continue to play at this level, but he may be the best option. But I agree with getting another wing player for depth. I'm just not sure who. I don't have a strong opinion on who to get.
