If Milwaukee is actually a team in which AD has interest, then he is about the winning (and the money) as opposed to just the market. COLD COLD COLD in the winter. And in the tolerable summer, everyone with such money would go home or travel anyway. Not that Milwaukee has assets they'd trade for AD.
Any minute now this deal should be done. I’m just hoping we could nab a guy like Holiday in the process.
Would be hilarious if the Clippers just swooped in and stole him right from under the Lakers. I don't get why they wouldn't pull the trigger, though. Don't they have room (or are close to having room) for 2 max deals?
Clippers can do it. Would be excellent to have Davis not go to Lakers or Celtics. Tobias, Montrezl, SGA, future pick for Davis.
Is it me or is it just 100% obvious woj is negotiating for the Lakers through twitter? Lol... Such LA positive spin from the guys over at ESPN running his account.
Is this really a great package though? Just wondering cause...Tobias is expiring so, no guarantee he'll stay in New Orleans. Trez is a nice assets but is he a starter? Looks more like a great bench player to me. Shai is promising but they already have Payton (although expiring) which is a similar player, and Holiday. They also owe a 1st rounder to Boston (lottery protected).
Shai is much better than Ingram if you ask me. The first they owe to Boston will be done with this year if they trade for AD and then they have all their future firsts. They also have Gallo and Boban. Both the Lakers and Clippers potential offer is roleplayers, only that the Clippers one has at least two way players.
It's not great at all, but I don't think they're going to get a great package unless it's from the Lakers. I think Tobias wants money, and if he's going to get it anywhere it's going to be a team that fundamentally doesn't understand what it takes to win a championship. Pelicans are as likely as anyone to offer it. At the end of the day, Pelicans future is all about tanking and shedding salary. Probably would have to include 1 or 2 more Clippers picks to even be realistic though, you're right.
I agree on Shai, i like him too, more than every single Laker young player, but i'm just not sure he's better than two between Kuzma, Ball, Ingram. As for the pick we'll see, i'm not sure they'll make the playoffs...sure, if they get Davis that will be likely, but at that point the rest of their future 1st will be kinda bad considering the Clippers will likely sign other stars in few months. Gallo and Boban meh imo.
That’s the best deal out there out of the 4 teams. But why are lakers wanting give up rondo, they need him for the playoffs. Sure N.O wants him back but let that man play in the playoffs.
