I have been told that people who put bumper stickers on their cars are predictable "edgelords."

Do you think this is a true statement? is the statement false? is the statement ambiguous?

It definitely can be more clearly defined. Also it really depends on the movement that is being expressed.

I think the right wing, specifically MAGA cult individuals are trying to and sometimes have successfully weaponized "sincerity". For example, a black person with a BLM sticker most likely sincerely believes that police disproportionately harms his race probably thorugh personal experiences he actually had to deal with thus he sincerely cares about the cause. For example, feeling of "really wanting a 2000 mile border wall" really doesn't strike me as some urgent sincere desire, but more of a stepping stone to just troll people who have empathy for poor undocumented immigrant families.

These feelings I have don't come from no where. They aren't a product of me being in a lefty bubble.

Probably the type of people who aren't looking for a sincere debate.

Be the D&D YOU want . . . there's absolutely NOTHING preventing you from starting a thread. Go on . . . try it. You might like it.

No physical or administrative barrier is stopping him. His desire to not spam the D&D over personal grudges is what is stopping him. Time also might be another barrier, something you have plenty of it seems.

no, I started a poll on a question of deep, personal interest to me: what kinds of people put bumper stickers on their cars? If you don't find that question interesting, I don't know what to tell you.

The comment was more of a reference of your entire time here, not specifically today. 4 years and already 20+ thousand posts. Impressive.

Here's a couple of recent examples from reddit. You decide what category they belong in:

    Spoilered for some "interesting" language.

Mostly they seem like people who probably would benefit from spending less time telling things to other people and more time listening.

I had a Ron Paul bumper sticker in 2008. It was a plain one. I think it was black and said Ron Paul 2008 in white lettering. Shortly after putting it on I realized I didn't like bumper stickers on my car. I took it off after the election.

None before that and none since. Don't think I'll have any again unless it's something about the kids that they for some reason really want to put on.

I once bought a button on 6th Street and wore it. The button said “Nuke a gay unborn whale for Jesus”.

    Don’t judge.

It was the wild and crazy time of the mid 80s.

And I was extremely drunk at the time.
