Just saw that too. I'm okay with it but I wish we'd have promoted from outside to get someone more creative in here...

Typical Houston head coach move. Promote your boys. Don’t bring in a different voice. Heaven forbid. That might actually lead to a different result and we can’t have that.

So are people really complaining about BoB hiring an offensive coordinator?

This is great news for the organization.

They are probably complaining about him hiring his graduate assistant from Penn State who's been with him this whole time. So no change in the offense

Get Fuller healthy and fix the OL

Then I bet you will see a change in the offense.

I don't trust obrien to rebuild the ol. He also had a good ol his first year here and the offense looked the same

We can't say that until we actually see the on field product.

TE coaches becoming OC's have a good track record in the past.

Lots of assistants work there way up so this isn't really that unique.

He’s not hiring an offensive coordinator. This was his ball boy at Penn State, whose glowing claim to fame is having worked with the elite group know as the Texans tight ends. What is it we call that group? Mediocre?

    Doesn’t matter Brian

LOL. You realize successful OC's come from all sorts of different backgrounds, right? As do failed ones? Someone tweeting a list of a few TE coaches who became good OCs is completely meaningless. Using that kind of argument to defend or criticize a move is laughable.

Don't know anything about the new OC, but let's be real. The reason people are upset is because this is a status quo move. The guy won't have playcalling duties and is just another guy who OBrien won't have to worry about hearing a different opinion from.

Exactly! Which means same offense as before. I trust Gaine so far but he’s really going to have to bring it this free agency & draft.

BoB seized power in the Texans organization and now has succeeded in surrounding himself with a bunch of yes men. Andy Reid and Bill Bilichick wishes they had as much pull in their organizations

I am looking forward to his next draft as he did a great job on the last one.
And, he will have a 1st and 2 seconds to work with on top of that this go round.
