I just improved my trade even further. I honestly find it hard to believe that Houston can offer a better trade than this. And it gives us an edge over LA because we take Solomon Hill off their books (don’t know why they have him listed as expiring)

    @The Cat

I know some might ask why I’m @ ‘ing you, I just want to know why you think it may not work

    Philly get EG and Niko

Pelicans get Capela, House, Fultz, 4 Houston FRD picks, Philly’s first round pick and Chandler(expiring), Nene and Chriss (Expiring)

    Houston get AD, Solomon Hill

I pictured the Iraqi information minister saying that as I read it.

“His contract is an albatross??! No! It is the best contract in the ENTIRE NBA! We would have paid him 3 or 4 times what he is earning if dirty Adam Silver would have let us!”

CP3’s contract is a fair contract, as he is one of maybe 3-4 players that can get us past GSW.

At this point, its all about what they value. This is a great trade idea, but if they think Kuzma, Ball, and Ingram(prolly Zubac) are collectively worth more than Capela, than its a no go. But I think we beat every other offer even Toronto. If they wait after the deadline and Boston is involved, I dont know.

100% if they wait then it’s a no go. I just don’t think they can afford to wait. Too much unknown and damage can be done from now until the summer. They’re basically waiting for Boston but what if Boston loses Kyrie, will they still give up Tatum and more for AD? What if ADs camp trashes Boston even more to the media? Waiting can lead to lesser packages.

I mean collectively they may be worth more, but Capela is locked up and his worth is known, ridding Solomon Hill is a pretty big plus entering this summer, 3 first rounders this years draft and a few more moving forward. You’re probably right but I find this one intriguing.

I really don't know how to read this rumors at this point...one day they're shopping Holiday, another day they want to keep him...would be cool to know what they really plan to do cause, we could at least guess if we have a chance to trade for Davis. If they're going into a full rebuild and trade every good player it's going to be harder for us i guess, cause probably we would be forced to trade Clint to a third team for picks...hopefully that's not case, in fact i think the Pelicans have a decent enough core of players to try to do a quick rebuild, Holiday, Moore, Payton, Randle, Mirotic, Okafor (?)...these are all pretty young and talented players, if they tank this season and get back a guy like Capela, they would be able to start the next season with at least:

    Capela/Okafor
    Randle/Mirotic
    top 5/10 pick
    Holiday/Moore
    Payton/Jackson

I mean, that's not a bad team...clearly needs a star but, they would've to get that through the draft anyway, they're not getting back a star by moving Davis.

Which is why Morey needs to be creative in trade with WAS, ORL and SAC to give every team what they want - all star for ORL, picks/salary dump for WAS and picks for SAC.

    ORL: Wall, EGo, Ennis, Nene

SAC: Knight, Vince Edwards, Hartenstein, ORL 1st, HOU 1st

WAS: Shumpert, Skal, Frank Mason, Chriss, 2 HOU 1sts, SAC 2nd, HOU 2nd

    HOU: AGordon, WCS, Ross, Simmons

    Rockets Roster

    Paul/Rivers
    Harden/Simmons
    Ross/House
    AG/PJ/Clark
    Capela/WCS/Faried

    Sign Wes Mathews/DJ after buyout.

No need to queue up for AD, there are shorter lines for players that can help Rockets right now.

Switch EGo and Shump if WAS balks but 1 HOU pick goes to ORL in this instance.

    Pelicans are being weird.

Anthony Davis, yeah, we're gonna have to trade him in the next calendar year.
And Mirotic, Randle, Moore, Hill, Miller, yeah, we're open for business there too.
Jrue? NO! Off limits! Do not inquire!

If pelicans could get Kuzma and Zubac. That alone is a win situation.

Rather get Wilson Chandler or even Darius Miller over Solomon Hill. And give up Ennis over House.

Even with AD, Rockets need 3-D wing help badly.

Scratch Wilson Chandler. He's out for a few weeks.

Obviously but we have to make it realistic. New Orleans wants to dump Hill and Philly wouldn’t take him.

I can’t think of a more fair trade than this that would land us AD

Mirotic and Randle are expiring and can leave; Jrue is locked up. My guess, based on Demps poor history, is they’re looking for good players on decent-ish contracts with multiple years.

    Rockets have two of those.

13th seed with Anthony Davis, Pels think they'll compete for the playoffs without AD. It's really dumb. We may as well try to help facilitate Davis to LA and get Lonzo Ball out of it.

Paul Pierce talked about us being a possibility for AD (albeit in the summer) tonight and that he thinks we are a place he would re-sign. Starts at the 11:23 mark...

    Are we still delusional?
