Even if we assume all 9 three-pointers they made were contested (they weren’t), Denver still put up 56 points that weren’t from 3-point range in the first half. That’s a pace for 112 points for the game, not including 3-point shots, which is not sustainable for long-term success.

 

Bad time for Beasley to have his Coming out party.

The problem is, we're also shooting pretty well ourselves.... so I fully expect us to go off the boil in the 2nd half.

Our defense is absolutely trash. Every team that plays us gets the most easiest points I've seen.

 

I've never seen so much ass raping inside the paint in terms of big men just bullying in easy points and grabbing every god damn rebound.

You would think Dantonio would play the only god damn 7fter this team currently has available. Such epic stupidity.

 

He's on the bench. I dunno why MDA hasn't put him in yet. Defense can't get any worse, can it?

Christ Paul do not make this team become better.

Harden single leading is better than this.

 

We won games last year by being physical af on the defensive end. This year we still haven’t even figured out our switches. Yeah we are small but this team needs to make a mental commitment to at least out-physical the other team.

On a side note...Denver is striking and I’d be surprised if they repeat that in the second half.

 

83-71 was a 2OT game in the JVG era

 

No Capela....you're asking guards and undersized power forwards to defend Jokic, Plumlee, and Milsap. Oh btw, they're still switching everything. That's a tall order for any team much less the Rockets. For anyone saying Faried isn't going to cut it - we all knew this already. We didn't bring in Faried to be a defensive stopper. He is an energy rebounder.

despite the defense struggling tonight, you might want to look at what the average number of points teams are averaging this year.

 

That's the downside to small ball.

There really is no adjustment that can be made when you have scrap with hopes of gang rebounding.

Can we double their bigs? Nope.
We not deep enough to sustain the MDA system.

Small ball is gonna create match up nightmares for the rockets!

The nuggets number 2 in west for a reason. They doing this without Gary Harris. The nuggets deep!!

 

Would it have much effect in D? He'll just play perimeter defense becuabe this coaching staff is legitimately mentally challenged.

They don’t have starting backcourt.

 

No big center is really having an effect.
