Houston is really about to end up trading for Wes Mathews and getting DJ on the buyout market! This will definitely be Houston’s deepest roster by far if Morey can pull this off. I think Houston trades a few more expiring contract to NY for Wes Mathews. Guys traded to NY would be Knight and Chriss. This would leave us with the young guys and vets that probably shouldn’t play or need more time watching: Ennis Clark Nene Hartestein Edwards
For whatever reason some people on here are only concerned with his height instead of what he can bring on the defensive end. He's given longer wings like PG and KD trouble in the past and shown capability to hang with quick, shifty guards like Lillard and Russ. Perfect fit for what we need.
What would be the purpose of having Capela & DJ? Please inform me. That would be pointless & not beneficial given we have more serious needs

Rockets interested in another 6'5" guy? Color me surprised...But seriously, hopefully, Morey has something planned this summer because most of the names mentioned in the trade and buyout market are very, very meh.
Summer is the best time to upgrade the leg, exchange picks and old legs for young legs. The old team has problems with pace, and can't even stay healthy. Most of buyout guys want playing time and money, not a long term solution.
I'd rather have Matthews than Deandre or Mirotic. The Rockets need a 3 and D wing as opposed to another big man
The only reason we are even pursuing Wes is because he'd be on here for the cheap. The only reason I would want him here is to see what Morey would do with our other assets. If we have to trade for him I dont want him at all. Though, Im not gonna lie, I wouldnt mind seeing "I have grow to hate Wesley Mathew threads."
