This may become a huge deal if the whole "must face (be in the game for?) 3 batters" thing ever happens.
Just got reminded of this elsewhere, it's perfect: Hunter Pence plays like Chevy Chase acting as Gerald Ford caught in a luggage carousel, but he's an All Star https://www.mccoveychronicles.com/2016/4/4/11335276/hunter-pence-scouting-report-sf-giants

how bad will the hader trade go down in history? I think most here thought he had the mechanics and stuff to be an elite closer.
Fiers was a huge help in the middle of the 2017 season when the staff was hurting and having issues. For that reason alone, the trade can be seen as a positive. While they most likely would have won the division anyway, he was the one guy giving the bullpen a break.
Stuff yes, mechanics no. He's turned into the witch I thought he could be. That one does hurt, but you gotta give to get.
THIS Fiers held our staff together for a decent stretch of the summer of 17. We have no idea what happens if he isn't there, and I wouldn't trade the title for nothing!
Don’t care. Any move that was done prior to winning the World Series is perfectly fine in my book. Fiers ate up a lot of innings in 2017 and while he didn’t contribute to the postseason, he got himself a World Series ring. Worked out fine. Trade was totally worth it.
