    Matthews would be a better signing than DJ simply because of how bad Ennis has been.

    I'm not sold that DJ and Matthews are off the table. He can say they plan to keep them because they'll be a good influence on their young players but what if they request a buyout like Rivers did? And why wouldn't they? They didn't choose to be part of the Knicks tank-a-thon.

    And really the Knicks don't want them to play either. It's a race to the bottom, the knicks can't afford any more wins.

    The Knicks are just saying that to try to save face.

    In the midst of this overwhelmingly panned trade, it looks better if they value Wes and DJ as veteran contributors rather than expiring contracts.

    If the Rockets get Wesley Matthews or DJ, not signing House was absolutely the right move, and everyone owes Morey an apology.

    After bending the Knicks over with no vaseline in multiple deals the Knicks front office cant even look MOrey in the eyes anymore. No surprise.

    Especially if Matthews and/or Jordan do not want to be on the Knicks. The last think that the Knicks want is guys that really don't want to be on the team OR will cost them lottery balls.

    The Knicks are looking around to see if they can deal either for other expiring contracts and a draft pick. Neither Matthews or Jordan are typical buyout candidates, so there is value there.

    The Rockets also need to be careful with wanting them bought out, one of both could end up in GS or LAL and that could hurt the Rockets even more.

    Jordan obviously wants to play for the Rockets, but how many minutes would he really get?

    Ideally they trade Wes Matthews to the Nets and then nobody takes Jordan and he gets bought out lol.

    Depends . If we sign both for min , then signing house wouldn't have mattered . If we needed the portion of the MLE that house would have required** then yes waiting for DJ or Matthews was the right move .

    Would you say that the inverse is true ? If the rockets don't get either guy did Morey mess
    Up by not signing House ?
