Knicks trade Porzingis to Dallas for Dennis Smith Jr.

I take capela over gobert because he can switch out onto the perimeter which is important in todays nba. Jokic is simply, do you prefer offense or defense from the center spot.

Just because fans dont vote for capela to the all star game doesnt mean his game should not he respected.

 

The idea of trading him for cap space and picks in itself isn't terrible.

But to basically give him away like this is the most Knicks thing ever. It's like the Mavericks were the first team to call and they took whetever was offered. I can't believe this was the best expiring package they could get.

No it's not. I didn't call them "low IQ" players like some of you. European players are majority fundamentally sound players but don't have the same physicality as other guys. In the playoffs the game slows down & becomes bogged down. That doesn't favor guys like Prozingis or Luka, who thrive in a open free flowing pace

 

Jokic is better than Capela at both, but Capela is the right fit for our team.

 

Just because there isn't a combination of two europeans doesn't equate it to a bad team.

You dont know, chris paul and davis are both injury prone. Harden could go down for half a season in 4 years. To assume that is wrong. You seem to be underestimating capela and 4 mid lotto picks plus 4 picks from the rockets which allow you to trade up in the draft can really help the franchise rebuild faster if they invest in scouting.

Its not simply you prefer offence or defence. The one is a top15 player and the other isnt. Fans didnt vote for Jokic or Gobert either but pretty good chance they both make the AllNba teams.

Jokic is a triple double machine playing at center, can pass, shoot the 3, score in the post against anyone, even if his defense is average he's obviosuly a better player than Capela, i love Clint but come on, just be realistic. Clint offense would be average too without a player like Harden, just saying.

 

Jokic gets cooked on the perimeter. Outside of that he is an amazing talent.
