    The Rockets aren't interested in dumping Knight according to Feigen. Next year he'll be a big expiring contract. He'd be the Deandre or Wes Matthews in the situation that is being used to absorb salary in a trade.

    This is why NOLA needs to take the Rockets deal. We send 4 picks and Knight to Cleveland for Love. Pelicans new line up-

    Capela
    Love
    Tucker
    Gordon
    Holiday

    They keep their picks and lose Davis and Mirotic whois expiring. This team can beat any team on any night. They are all blue collar, hard working players signed for the next 2-5 years. It features shooting, defense, scoring, rebounding... it is all around.

    Take this deal, because cap room doesnt matter when youre new orleans.

    The Knicks want cap space.

    Bold move for Dallas and likely pays off as they have two very good pieces and future assets. Credit to the Mavs for taking Lee and Hardaway’s contracts to make it happen.

    @malakas this is why I said New Orleans couldn't trade Davis for him. He goes to NOLA, signs the QO, he's gone after 1 year.

    I agree, but this is a question only the basketball gods can answer. We shall see.

    I'm starting to wonder if Morey's reputation as a God GM and master negotiator is hurting him at this point. 4 first rounders couldn't pluck Butler who was actively sabotaging his team, but cap space could pluck Porzingis on his rookie deal? Couldn't get involved with Paul George, but the Thunder get him for (at the time) depressed assets.

    I don't know...seems weird, though I'm probably overthinking it. Like teams KNOW Morey is going to win the trade, so they just avoid it alltogether.

    Good trade for Dallas but two things:

    1) We still don't know how Porzingis comes back from the injury.
    2) A team led by 2 white stars? Seems questionable.
