What makes you think Magic will find a way to make it happen?? LeBron is in LA because LeBron WANTED to be in LA all along, and he had set up his FA accordingly. Anthony Davis is clearly doing the same thing, but the big difference is AD isn't a FA until after NEXT season. LeBron will be 36 then, and if the Lakers don't acquire another star in the meantime, I could easily see AD change his mind. Paul George also really wanted to be in LA....didn't happen. Kawhi supposedly really wanted to be in LA....didn't happen. AD might very well end up in LA, but it won't be because of Magic making things happen.

What is pick #29 this year is not the number pick in the draft every following first round pick we offered. Variables could change things: 1) Harden gets injured and the teams bottoms out and gets picks # ?10? . 2) Player traded for demands trade: Kawhi Leonard or Butler or AD (to Lakers) .....team bottoms out and Pels then get top notch pick. 3) Chemistry sucks.....team bottoms out and Pels then get prime top notch pick. 4). You said CP3 is too old......then his production falls off the cliff and the Pels get a better pick than you claim. Celtics were 2nd in the East last year....this year they are 5th seed in the East. Stuff happens. Looks like AD is telling teams he will only re-up with Lakers.
