Nobody can outbid Lakers by trade deadline.
Nobody can outbid Celtics in summer.
Nobody can outbid GS by next year trade deadline.

Lakers are greedy. Lakers plan to offer 3 young players and 1 pick. All Lakers reporters said that Irving may not re-sign with Celtics.
    This offer can beat Lakers:
    Capela/Gordon/picks for Davis/Hill

Honestly I wonder if Philly would seal Simmons, probably not though.

if you can do it for CC and EG and a pick or two do it .... but if you can't don't kick yourself too hard .

AD is lightyears ahead of Clint as an offensive player , but I do wonder how quickly he would learn our defense .

No way I give up CP3 and Clint .

Just giving Clint alone is hard enough ... I know AD is better ; but I dunno how quickly or if he will build chemistry with the rest of the group . I know nothing about AD's attitude . The last thing you want is another Dwight . What if AD demands a certain # of post touches ... what if his defense isn't as advertised?

It's an upgrade in talent , but it's not without risk .

EG has been so streaky this year and with rivers I'm ok letting him go for the right price . Furthermore if you got AD you don't need as much of a punch off the bench . EG hasn't been facilitating that much this year anyways.

Either way I'm not holding my breath on AD .

We have a pretty solid roster and there is still uncertainty about our ceiling . How do we play with all 4 guards healthy ? Do we do anything with knight or Chriss ? How does farried continue to improve ... what about when Clint comes back ? House comes back ?

I think the least risky course is to purse a good 3/4 using knights contract and a pick , but we will see what Morey has in store !!

I find this super interesting, if true - because it would dramatically lower his price. If I am New Orleans, I am not trading him to LA. Trade his ass somewhere else. But if I am the Rockets, if we are looking at a rental here, no way I give up Capela (not CP3 either).

And I think for all other teams, it makes even less sense. The Rockets might be willing to pay for a 1 1/2 year rental, because it is James Harden's prime, and CP3's window is closing.

Paying for this rental only makes sense if a team feels like the trade potentially puts them over the top to challenge the Warriors for the title.

Which other team than the Rockets can really say that??

Give them Knight, Chriss, Nene and Ennis - and 4 first round picks, and cash.

They might as well go into full tank mode now, and do a full rebuild. They won't get a superstar for a rental, and some secondary star level player doesn't help them either. So they might simply go for the most picks.

    PG: CP3 (30), Rivers (18)
    SG: Harden (34), Gordon (14)
SF: Tucker (28), Gordon (14), Green (6) (and maybe House, re-signed vor vet min., 1 1/2 year guaranteed (compromise))
    PF: Davis (32), Faried (18)
    C: Capela (32), Davis (4), Faried (6), Hartenstein (6)

    Let's do this ;).

Adding tucker to that lineup doesn’t make a difference. Warriors would basically murder any line up. But AD just gives you a much better chance

    Misled you?
You can't beat Lakers straight up for Davis. You need to ask them to add Solomon Hill. Lakers don't have enough pieces to take Solomon Hill and they don't want him.
Lakers are pronounced "doomed" if they take Hill contract.
Everyone is gone except LeBron, Davis, Hill, McGee, Chandler and the rest of trash. Clippers (lotto?)would sweep these guys.

The NBA needs to ensure that the lakers include Kuzma and Ingram in any deal involving Davis....they should not have the luxury of retaining either one...Make them have to work to surround a decent team around Davis.

I’ll tell you guys one thing. Going by reports Raps may not be THE favourite but they’re up there, and if it does happen, AD is going to be sooooo pissed soon as his plane lands.
It’s F’ing freezing here! Snow everywhere. And not nice snow. Dirty slush.

It’s a fantastic city. But not the right month to move here.
